“Don’t you do it kid! I’m gonna whoop your ass if you do and you won’t like it … told you so!”
Dad cat went all Wind River on his ass, "Why you flanking me?"
Great fucking movie! And epic scene!
Hell yeah, it is!! You get them cake day points, Dre!!!
“I brought you into this world and I can take you right back out of it!”
And make another one that looks just like you!
“I hope you have one just like you!”
Dad said "you gon' learn today"
🤣 wish i had an award to give you that comment
Kitten sat under the couch and re-evaluated his decision
He won't try that again.... For half an hour at least!
That’s not abuse! Especially in cat world. The kitten was looking for a little tussle and got what he was looking for. He also got a little lesson in manners.
I’m not saying humans should knock their kids out or anything but I absolutely know lots of families that play fight or play sports together.
I don’t see much evidence of abuse from the parent here. If I’d done that to my definitely non-abusive dad as a kid I’d expect to get off less lightly.
Dad is teaching cat to not try it on a strange cat that WON’T stop, like he did
Also teaching the kitten the danger of a frontal assault. In time the kitten will switch to trying sneak attacks, which are much more effective for hunting as well as fighting.
The kitten needs to remember about advantage to add his sweet 2d6 sneak attack.
Yeah, they deal 1d6 extra damage
This is not a parent. This clip gets posted every few months, some saying it’s a dad, some it’s mom, etc.
It’s obvious to anyone who’s raised kittens with a mommy cat and a daddy cat that these cats don’t know each other well. This is a kitten that was recently brought into a home where the larger ginger cat already lived. They are establishing dominance, it’s perfectly normal, not abusive, and no grudges will be held. I’m sure a few weeks after this clip they were the best of friends.
So what you’re telling me is that’s a baby kitten looking for its mama and papa and probably looking for some comfort in a strange new house… and the other cat is just some stranger who’s pissed off that he moved in.
That’s honestly just so sad and it actually pisses me off.
You're applying human behavior to that of an animal, which doesn't work in this scenario. Whether a house cat-type, as shown here, or a larger feline such as a tiger or lion, this behavior from a parent to the offspring is a learning lesson. They're teaching them. It's all within their natural instincts.
This is not abuse. He stopped as soon as kiddo learned his lesson. He didn't antagonize it or coax it into an attack either. It would qualify as abuse if he started messing with it for no reason or if he just didn't stop.
thats not how cat relationships work tho
Trust me - the evaluation lasts only a minute before they come back for more. Kittens never stop.
The backwards walk
Cat version of: “Now listen here you little shit.”
"This might work with your momma but I'm not having it."
Tiny Ginger retreat. He’ll be back soon enough and gunning for the old man.
Thinking "I just can't wait to be King".
"The 'Be Careful What You Wish For' song!"
[Oh I just can’t wait, til dad dieeeesss!!](https://youtu.be/DFtBjc1dz7w)
*Dad dies* Simba: shocked pikachu, world shattered
I think that’s what you call being taught a lesson…
….The hard way
Reminds me of two of our cats. One is a kitten, a recent feral rescue. So she’s kinda bananas. Our patriarch is a stray that adopted us a few years back. Big old tomcat. And I mean BIG… dude tips the scales at 25 lbs.
You think she would learn to leave the juggernaut alone. But no. Every damn day she picks a fight with him. And every damn day she gets her ass handed to her. Lucky he’s so old most of his teeth are gone, but one swipe of the paw sends her flying like a frisbee.
CAT TAX! The people have spoken!
I went snooping, I believe [this is the tomcat.](https://i.redd.it/p6yjrut3ukh41.jpg)
Had one similar to this. Was a tough motherfucker.
Ohhh he thicc thicc
Yup, that’s Tom the tomcat! 💪
Yeah… I’m gonna need a Cat Tax on that. And not just photos—videos of that epic-ness.
I absolutely second this request
I third the request
Not OP, but here is my 9 lb semi-crazy former-feral and 19.5 lb doofus doing combat in what I called The Chair Battle Royale With Cheese:
Notice how her ears are back and her mouth is open like she means business (which she does). And his ears are forward and and he is just reaching out like he is messing with her (which he is).
He's a little chonky, but you can tell by how he is standing that is is just a big damn cat.
When he pins her, it is all over.
Yes yes, that is a very Chonky Boi.
We had a stray that moved in when I was growing up that was declawed (I was a kid not my call) and could still whack any dog without her claws hard enough to make them ki'ike and run away. Of course our smallest Chihuahua made it her life goal to fuck with this cat every single day and, while she got really good dodging, the results were always the same eventually. On the upside. Whenever we saw a 4lb Chihuahua stalking anything, we stopped to watch the show because it was garunteed to *always* earn some laughs.
I jumped the other day at a mighty “THWACK” sound and turned just in time to see my 60lb dog scamper off with her head down and my 10lb cat swishing her tail watching her go. I was shocked at how loud it was she must have smacked her hard.
I love that phrase "... gets her ass handed to her..."

You cannot spin us a tale of hilarity and not pay the CAT TAX
Talk shit, get hit
Don't try me
Cause daddy throws hands
Throw paws, get jaws.
Talk smack, get smacked
Did you just rhyme smack with smack
He writes lyrics for Kid Rock.
I wasnt rhyming but yeah I guess if you count the same words as rhymes
Chat shit, get banged.
Chat shite.. get bite?
pops doesn’t mess around
papa don't take no mess
couldn’t take the smoke
Baby be like "damn dad that was unnecessary"
Talk shit, get rabbit kicked
Cats do that do disembowel their prey afaik
Idk why but I was certain I was about to see kitten innards. Thankfully I was wrong
Clearly, dadcat had the high ground. Important lesson learned, padawan.
Kitten shouldn't have tried it
And there was kitten thinking that dadcat underestimated his power
Fuck around and find out
Dad cats like... " What happened, I thought you wanted to play."
And that is how you fight, son
How ya say “uncle” in cat.
Is it the dad or is the kitten a new part of the family that the older cat just doesn’t like? My ex tried to integrate his younger cat to his roommate’s 3 older cats and it was a very hellish, rowdy acclamation time.
I can almost guarantee the big cat does not hate the little cat. Cats dont exactly tolerate that behavior so calmly if they have a real issue lol. Older cat really just seems like he is teaching kitten, you dont do that! He stopped right after the kitten screamed and stayed with an exposed belly. He would've at least hid his belly if he was serious
Definitely. Kittens are dumbasses and big cats like that won't hurt them a grand majority of the time.
Claws usually stay retracted. Our cats liked to remind younger brother who was boss. Claws stayed in. Once a kid stopped smelling like a baby (about age 5) then the claws would come out if they were pissed.
Sometimes its just the parent teaching the child how to act.
Oooooo. Poor baby. That was a bit harsh, Dad.
Dad stopped when the kitten screamed. Cats, like most mammals, teach their offspring social rules.
So true! Dad had to regulate on the little upstart! I read that a good way to keep puppies and kittens from hurting you while playing is to yelp rather than punish them and in my limited experience it works.
It works with kittens too. We got ours way young like a day after the mom abandoned her and i had to teach her how to safely play and the fake crying thing really works.
It’s so cool how humans and non-human animals all learn so much through playing
I know-still difficult to watch!! 😬
I feel ya!
> Cats, like most mammals, teach their offspring social rules.
At one time, humans also did this, but no more. Which is why there are more ferals running around than ever. Completely clueless on how to behave in civilized society.
So people have been saying for 2000 years or so.
Damn millennials. We didn't have these problems back in 960 AD.
Except for humans
I think any cat would respond the same when being attacked like that. Sadly. The kitty wasn’t play fighting and tried out real attack skills. I hope he didn’t get his butt scratched too hard!
Call that “single trial learning”
Not very smart, tbh. We're only assuming this is 'dad cat' because they're the same color. Domestic cats, like big cats, practice infanticide and males with a strange kitten should not be allowed to interact this closely. :/ Those bunnykicks are done to disembowel.
To disembowel, and to simulate play. How much disembowelling have you seen a cat do to another cat? And how much playing have you seen?
Actually a good point. The owner should keep a close eye on this.
Male cats do kill strange kittens sometimes.
To be fair- not to dispute your point!- my male 6 yo adopted a week old kitten we found. I don't think he had ever seen a tiny kitten before. She tried to nurse on him and he was pretty startled. But we could see that he knew that she needed someone to teach her how to cat. So he did. She's 5 now and still whatever he does is what a cat's supposed to do, so she does it, too. When she was tiny, he would look for her if he hadn't seen her in a little bit and he cleaned her, too. He's a sweetheart. An orange boy, too.
“You ain’t want no smoke kitteh”
Know your place u little turd
Don't start none. Won't be none.
Those bunny kicks hurt like hell. That poor kitten.
My 2 year old tabby does it to me all the time when we play. It literally inflicts zero pain, they retract their claws, it’s just a soft cat toe massage. I’d bet everything I own the dad did the exact same thing. He did that to assert dominance and get a message across, not to inflict pain.
Uhm, I’ve been bunny kicked where a cat did not retract the claws and that shit hurts.
Yea not every cat is like yours. Check my post and I have an image of one of cats scratch me pretty bad. Not on purpose. Nails trimmed and everything. Other cat I don’t trim the nail and he doesn’t scratch when does the bunny kicks.
I see a lot of these posts in this thread and I'm truly at a loss, everyone pretending they understand how this cat shit works but I guarantee you, if left alone in this house they'll figure it out either way they know this sign better than anyone here ever will and living in the same home they will learn, namely the little one and it's important to get your shit rocked as a young animal. That's how they learn lmao
I’m sure the cat didn’t hurt the kitten at all but just saying those bunny kicks hurt like hell.
Gets ass kicked and receeded into the shadows.
The makings of a super villain
Dads form was flawless
Lol 1 life down, 8 left
He's just teaching him how to be a cat. Cat's don't give a shit about being assholes.
Let's hope nobody called KPS.
kitten protective service 🤣
Well little one, I too got hit by my dad
Would have loved to see mom run over & swat dad 😆
Two plus back points and then for an escape.
Mess around, find out
Those bunny kicks were savage
Baki the grappler 2021 colorised
poor kitten going to have daddy issues
Dad was super tolerant in the start, but sometimes you just have to show who is who.
don’t worry, kittens have alzheimer. he will be back in a short while
I read too fast (and poorly) so thought title was "dead cat".
Was expecting one of them to fall over playing dead after being hit :)
This is so fucking cute. I love how gentle but no-bullshit the dad cat is. I watch this clip multiple times every time its posted.
“Toughen up son”
Lil turd got what's coming.
Aaaaaannndd, this is what happens when you bring a knife to a gunfight, son....
I'm telling Mom!!
You dare to challenge me son then parish
Poor baby got his spine snapped
That cat could have seriously injured that kitten there.
I'm sure that millions of years of evolution cares about your criticism.
You seem like the kind of person that would scold 2 street cats for fighting because 'we should all be friends'.
I'm not disagreeing or agreeing with you but evolution is just "fuck around and find out" if that kitten died itd still be the process of natural selection
Dad an you are not mate..!
Awww that was so sad....child abuse much lol
The fact this got a Wholesome reward is…concerning XD
Is the little sweetie ok?
Dammit Seamus! I can only take so much of your shit!
When he released the kid I heard the wutang skit "You lack discipline"
I thought it said dead cat

I’d tell Mom
“You lil shit”
TALK SHIT GET HIT
Youngblood gotta learn somehow
Lol kitten sounded like crack kid in the beginning
Aw- oh wait- oh no
Homie don’t play that.
Got to let them know lol
Little guy fucked around and found out

"look at me.., im laying down.., come get it.
Now what have we learned today, little one?
"Ya fucked around. Ya found out."
To be fair, the kitten was being a jackass
Is it just me, or did he say I Give Up?
