6 slices chopped bacon cooked crisp and removed from the pot
Onions softened in the bacon grease
2 tblsp of chili powder and 4 tblsp of ground cumin
Two cans of black beans rinsed
One can of campbell's consomme or French onion soup.
bring to a boil
Turn down to a simmer and throw the bacon back in.
simmer for 45 minutes stirring every 10 minutes or so.
Hot Sausage Dip (most complimented if not best)
Cream Cheese, cooked Sausage, Rotel (tomatoes w/ chilies), maybe a little milk if it needs thining.
in a crock pot, served with sturdy corn chips and crackers.
That sounds good - and I used to make a version with canned Hornel chili which was a big hit at parties.
