Why is a store-level associate being told to care about turnover? That's a manager's job, and that duty has been segregated to them alone. You do not need to worry about Best Buy's turnover rate.

You cant burn a bridge if you issue a 2 week notice and politely leave, if ever asked in the future why you left you always say for better opportunity at that time. It's not going to affect you if you leave just so it responsibility.

Turn over is determined by people who leave over people hired. It doesn't matter who leaves and who is hired. If 10 people are hired in a year, and 10 people leave in the same year, regardless of when they were hired, thats 100% turnover. How long you stay isn't factored in.
Also, if you convert from regular to seasonal, that is turnover systematically as well - this was not at one time the case, but they changed this years ago so you couldn't hide turnover in your seasonal count.

I had been with the company for 21 years when they let me go in February. We didn't have much turnover when I left. They gave me 6 mos. of severance and told me to kick bricks. I've noticed quite a bit of turnover since I was let go. I think the new CEO and her policies are ruining Best Buy. That's what happens when you turn a CFO into a CEO. All they see are dollar signs and employees are just another expense.
