*Only in Battlefield*
The trailer is filled with memeable part
Bro the RendeZook and the quad from the roof is amazing. Wish they put the c4 strat but hey, at least they have some of them.
Yeah they are missing C4s strap on the ATV
Yup, can you imagine the "shooting a jet with a tank in the air" was in the trailer? Thats hilarious.
First off, if you don't know what Battlefield is Battlefield is a video game franchise that often gets compared to Call of Duty. Its known for large scale matches (32v32 and higher), vehicles, squadplay, and destruction. Call of Duty, as you know, is known for 6v6 Multiplayer, and a smaller scale, arcadey style. The template is from the new Battlefield 2042 Reveal Trailer from today.
The mode Ground War is 32v32 domination with 5 flags, and the mode was created and supported in MW19. At the time of MW19's release, Battlefield was in a low place and BF fans didn't have a good FPS game to play. By making Ground War, a mode that scratches a similar itch to Battlefield, they attracted BF players.
How it relates to codm: Ground War is known to be coming to codm, with Aniyah Incursion/Palace as the first map. However, it was announced that there will be a Battlefield Mobile game, developed by the studio Industrial Toys.
This means, while ground war in MW19 was quite relevant ground war in codm is up against the real deal, the actual Battlefield that the mode was adapted from.
Don't take this too seriously, I know if you really went deep there could be all sorts of arguments about this like how both games are free or they're the only mobile versions of their games. It's just a meme.
Good meme, good explanation!
However, I don't think Battlefield Mobile will be available anytime soon. Apex Legends Mobile was announced more than a year ago and global launch is somewhere near this Oct soooo..
Pretty sure Activision will be done milking this game and will be moving to next one by that time.
Its actually gonna soft launch this summer (global launch probably early next year). It's closer than you think. They announced it pretty late considering the development cycle.
Seriously? I thought EA is going to take the same route as Apex and it'll take a whole year for a beta.
Here I go checking store page every day for BF Mobile! Thanks for the info!
I wouldn't be so optimistic, soft launch means it's only launching in a certain region just like how codm was only launched in Australia for several months.
*Laughs in VPN*
Don't worry, I'll make sure to try it as soon as it drops. That shit gonna be the real rival to CoDM.
I've never used a VPN before, didn't occur to me. I forgot people like Ferg used VPNs to get access to the Australian servers and Hawksnest and other youtubers used VPNs to access the Indian Apex Legends Mobile Beta.
I did the same for Apex, will do the same for BF if I have too...
Meetya in BF then!
Sure, but I'd pay an arm and a leg to have BF2042 and a brand new PS5 with PS plus subscription. Sad mobile game noises.
Me: looks at the 1650ti I can afford in a pc I want...seeing battlefield 2042...sobbing inside. (Ngl first futuristic game I've really ever wanted to play)
Work hard and get that PS5. If you would pay an arm and a leg for it you can.
Only if they don't do it like apex legends. Players using vpn were banned after 1 day.
I'm still playing it via VPN..
Ground War and BF Mobile...? Hell yeah!
I'll just stick to codm rn I don't want to download anymore big apps or my dirt phone would explode
In the press conference i thought they said that they're aiming for a global release this year?
If battlefield mobile is out im dumping cod mobile
Considering that this game can barely run on most mid-range smartphones, I doubt any Battlefield Mobile will run on anything short of a modern flagship
Depends on what engine they use and how good their servers will be( but ur probably right). Alas I think the days of a game like cod mobile running on potato phones is gonna be over with this new generation of mobile games.
I've been playing a lot of apex legends mobile and its actually pretty good. It's better than codm's br thats for sure, well it is a br game from the start
Yep. I ran it on Nokia 8.1 Runs pretty good.
Poco x3 and the frames drops from time to time
Battlefield Mobile will have soft launch this year with beta in November.
Apparently it releases the 22nd october, which aligns with the anniversary
Aren't they making a new game Activision Mobile?
They've been hiring for a new mobile CoD game for a while now (about 3-4 months), but nothing is still clear about it.. For sure they'll move to a new game sooner or later, but don't know when or what happens to current game.
Introducing Ground War for CODM, with 8 players and 24 bots on each team.
-we had a good fps to play, only bfv was shit
Ground war created in mw19 that's so wrong
I know a mode called ground war existed in previous cod games but the 32v32, 5 flag domination version of it was first in cod mw19.
Thanks for taking the time to make this comment! I was quite confused haha
If there's a bf mobile there better be commander like in bf4
Dang hope ground war comes as separate app cuz I can't imagine the game size if they added ground war at CODM
I'm happy CODM's getting competition, the benefits of a CODM v BFM rivalry that would occur will insanely produce good updates on both games
Or male Activision make a new game to milk
I'm really hyped for ground war on mobile, it will definitely be a breath of fresh air for br fans like me. I wanted normal multiplayer but on larger maps and teams, like a mix of MP and BR, looks like my wishes came true
I felt bad for that guy in the trailer lol
Yeah lol, poor dude got crushed by a burning osprey falling on him mid air. Felt bad for the guys right under the rocker too. Their ears probably exploded before they got killed by the sound.
Were u there
yeah he were there. i was piloting one of the plane and saw him there. /s
Hopefully Battlefield won't be messed up with server sync issues, ping oriented victories, unbalanced weapons and trash SBMM.
You forgot am abundance of bots. For a game so focused on teamwork and strategy having bots everywhere would get boring extremely quickly.
yeah, but having bots in your MP doesn't make it bad. Titanfall 2, for instance has bots everywhere, that way even the worst players can help their team. For Battlefield, last gen could have their 32v32 boosted to 64v64.
yeah and better netcode. codm netcode sucked. lagger have advantage of lag kills where it shouldn't be registered at all but it did. being a lagger is an advantage than 1ms ping player.
I'd jump over so fast if the game stays to its roots and doesn't turn all anime and girly like CodM did.
Honestly it probably will just follow every other mobile game
Thanks for bringing this to light! Been talking about how cool a battlefield game on mobile would be. I just hope they pul it off. I hope they stick to their guns with the longer matches and large scale battles. Cod was a mild disappointment with games being alot shorter than normal.
Downvote me if u want but this is the truth
That last sentence wasn't necessary since it's already true. Battlefield is quality over quantity instead of churning out a recycled game every year so it's obviously going to be better. Exceptions exist, like MW19 for Cod which wasn't another recycled mess and BFV which had low support and quality.
Agreed MW19 was a masterpiece compared to treyarchs cold war which is being carried by zombies and warzones support. I know that they only got 1 year for development cuz Activision is shit
Me a cod fanboy upvoting you dunno why
interms of sales : No
interms of gameplay : yes
interms of campaign : No (nothing can beat the bo trilogy (bo3 doesn't count) modern warfare reboot is also good, and the ending makes me want to download mw22 despite mw19 mp making me hate myself)
i played bf4 campaign and its just a borring mw mission
conclusion : cod is good, bf is ok
Campaign and sales of bf suck but the others like gameplay and mp mode, it dominates
A wise man (jackfrags) once said :
\*Oh shit, what is, this a Michael Bay movie? that's just a cutscene from your campaign, for me, that kinda shit happens in-game
So I'll blow a skyscraper up, Jihad Jeep! While you use the same damn gun week after week
You are the kill streak in my land, you pilot the plane not call it in on and ear piece on an iPad
My nah could do that, that's how it seems to me\*
Ngl, iam a mw2019 fanboy, much prefer the tactics and mil sim feel, really wish I could get a pc for bf4, love milsim and realism.
Same. Best i can play is bfbc2
Yes the teamwork and strategy makes BF incredibly fun, but if you're playing Battlefield for realism you're in the wrong place. Tanks sniping helicopter, people rendezooking, jumping from a skyscraper unscathed as long as you pulled and cut your parachute once (BF4).
XD jet to jet rocket shots?
Indeed it is , more realistic in some aspects qnd for the campaign, I always thought battlefield was a little behind but then cod started degrading in some places but battlefield is surely fun due to the maps
Sales wise battlefield is always behind cod , only BF4 was able to outsell the respective cod of its time but other than that cod always gets more players . Also that's your own personal opinion not a fact
Unpopular opinion but I hope Battlefield mobile is a paid game.
I don't want kids or Indian youtubers that post 1 Billion videos about how their exploits work to ruin the game.
Considering its EA, its most likely gonna be paid and am really happy, micro-transaction are my only worries.
A paid mobile game? Goodluck having real players in your lobby.
Minecraft bedrock edition is paid, you can guess how many players play on it.
By the time it comes out prob a decent amount of ppl will come
You're delusional if you think it will be a paid game lmao
Caught the mobile gamer.
Do you know what EA is?
EA releases mobile games for free. They are money hungry but not dumb, micro transactions earn them more than paid games. Caught the PC gamer.
Haha. Nice one.
You are really comparing a battlefield game, EA's most successful franchise to FIFA mobile and Sims?
Also am a PlayStation gamer not a PC gamer lol.
Yes, EA's attitude towards Battlefield is comparable to Fifa and Sims. They are have free mobile versions of their counterparts with transactions built-in.
(Also with a name like TruGamer you should probably be on something more hardcore than a PlayStation 😉)
>Yes, EA's attitude towards Battlefield is comparable to Fifa and Sims. They are have free mobile versions of their counterparts with transactions built-in
I hade a stroke reading this.
>(Also with a name like TruGamer you should probably be on something more hardcore than a PlayStation 😉)
Name shaming in 2021, and you expect to be taken seriously.
I think the winky face is meant to clue you into the fact that I'm joking.
Then its a bad joke lol
Pretty sure FIFA is way more successful than Battlefield
Battlefield games made around $1.15 Billion while FIFA made $1.6 Billion as if March 2021
Really curious about your source. Let’s compare BFV when it came out to FIFA 19, which came out a couple months before. During EA’s February 2019 warning call, BFV sold 7.3 million copies. FIFA 19 sold over 20 million units in the same time (plus a couple months)
Also, FIFA is a yearly release. Battlefield is not EAs most successful franchise like you claim. It’s impossible
Edit: fixed FIFA sales
You just said FIFA 19 sold 2M copies while BFV sold 7.3M copies.
You're comparing to a successful game to BF5 which is a game that failed.
Take a look at BF4, BF4 alone can take on most FIFA games.
Not to mention I compared how many players are playing both game and Battlefield has around 50 Million players while FIFA has 10 Million.
Typo. 20 million
Comments on a mobile game Subreddit calls me a mobile gamer 🤡
So someone cannot play both mobile and console lmao
Bruh you started with mobile gamer thing not me
I agree it was stupid of me to bring it up but like just because it's a mobile game doesn't mean it has to be free.
Man it's going to be a free2play game like it or not cod mobile alone made a billion dollars to compete with that they have to make it free2play
Well we're going to have to wait and see, I personally think it should be paid for a better community but thats just me
It will be a free game.
no i hope it's free but paid content are much better than shitty crate and lucky draws. make it all bundles and maybe premium pass like classic bf premium pass. exp boost, premium pass exclusive rewards n etc. bf is teamwork oriented rather than solo-skilled oriented. rock paper scissors is everywhere where typical cod players would choked af.
I hope so too, but it will mostly be free because of the rivalry.
That can work tbh depends on how mobile gaming is in the future. Especially in codm most ppl just want all their shit for free but if they made battlefield mobile even like $10 it can greatly reduce the stupid kids in it.
I don't think BF:M will be out anytime before Mid 2022. I wonder how Codm will look like by the time BF:M is out and whether I will still be playing it lol.
Snipers rise up it's our time
Battlefield Mobile is something that I need to take a break from Call of Duty
When i said Battlefield will come for mobile, some clown kids talked trash like smart here !
So where are they now, hiding under their mamas dress and not talking trash anymore ?
I bet their eyes now looks like soccer ball !
Same thing happened to a guy I always saw under posts asking for zombies to come back talking trash like "zombies is never coming back, shut the fuck up" while his in game profile shows him playing zombies literally once. After the devs officially announced zombies would come back he hid in his little hole again.
I seen around here some no life kids that try to sound like they are comedians, a normal guy can just read and search around google for that post that is made and can give normal answer, but here are some dumb faggs you know that try to act like they know everything but they can just shut their mouth sometimes on posts the people do, they are si bored Nabs nothing more !
Ground war is coming next season itself while bf mobile will be released in the end of 2022(might take even longer)in that mean time they would have released atleast 2-3more ground war maps
Incorrect. Soft launch is happening this summer and this game was being developed for a very long time before it was announced. I'd say it would be released globally in the first half of 2022.
Codm will never release ground war cause its a lot of processing
actually, they will because the groundwar map aniyah incursion is already in the game files.
Doesn't mean they'll add it
only time will tell
The new aniyah map was datamined with 5 domination flags. The player size is 100% getting reduced but ground war is definitely coming.
It's already there, when you update it's one of the maps that gets downloaded, next time you have to download maps, camos etc check and you'll see the name
they could. it just another br mechanics in medium scaled map. but I'd doubt that. most likely the warzone hp mechanics first before gw.
something like it. most likely they would use br mechanics instead of mp.
So pretty much alca graz but with infinite respawn? Lmao
yes. groundwar have vehicles where mp dont have the mechanics for it but br does. groundwar most likely would appear on br section. it will be like that until they able to unify both mechanics.
They should have a mix of both mp and br
br mode is basically a copy and paste of the basic mechanics from pubgm. also because br mode exist before warzone released hence br mode being too similar with pubgm or black ops br. wished they would've delayed the br mode and wait for warzone first. but it is what it is.
roughly we would see another year of the same br before we could see warzone in br mode.
is groundwar fun at least ?
Depends heavily on how much people camp (mw19 problem) and how many bots there will be(codm problem). If it's the first option, it won't be fun and if it's the second option it will be boring as hell.
What's even a bigger problem-lag, Idk if codm wants to release ground war, that depends on which device one user is playing, moreover BF is always known for compressing its in-game files to provide best gameplay and performance and not to fill half of the storage of a console, mobile storage or PC storage as compared to MW and Warzone.
If they plan on supporting ground war in the future with more large sized maps they really need to work on fixing the "optional" downloads so we can actually choose to not download maps like standoff Halloween, raid holidays and ground war maps (which will likely take up a lot of storage over time). And yes, I forgot to add "If lag and frame drops is no concern" in the beginning of my sentence, but judging by how this community loves Alcatraz even though its infamous for lag and frame drops I think it won't be unacceptable.
Yea, they must remove a ton of maps in game which are no longer required, plus there are some in game content which are no longer required so they also can delete them, since Activision said it in one of their newsletters saying that they will shrink the size of game files of MW and Warzone.
They should have the files of those seasonal maps on their computers no need of having them as optional downloads if they are irrelevant at that particular season.
They don't have to make it compulsorily 32vs32 and I strongly believe it'll be less considering :
-Aniyah palace is a large Map
-This many players will give mere mobile GPUs a very tough time
Just look at BR, whenever there's more players the game goes haywire for midrangers
if ranked, forget about bots, rn there's no shortage of players but matchmaking sucks
I think they would cap it at 25vs25 or something along the lines of that.
There's stronger evidence. Aniyah palace is 24v24 in ground war since it was originally designed for 20v20. The map we're getting is Aniyah Incursion, a cut down version of that map. I'd say ground war is anywhere from over 10v10 to 25v25 at absolute most.
I mean hooray for heartbeat sensor (do you think cold blooded should counter it or gohst?)
Can someone tell me where this meme is from?
Battlefield 2042 trailer
Lol I actually laughed 🤣
Is it true battlefield is coming to mobile? They said it's coming in 2022 hope it's not pay to win
There's going to be 2 battlefield mobile coming
One is the official and one is made by someone else
hell yeah spicy competition in the mobile gaming industry should interesting
that poor guy though, he died right after giving a thumbs up
Most brutal and disturbing game trailer i have ever seen.
my dudes i think we have a game journo in this subreddit
I mean...the only gore was the dog tag grab and all of the poor soldiers getting crushed...
You forgot the minigun mowing down soldiers on a roof and apaches and a SU57 blowing up.
Why you comparing a pc game to Mobile cod? Lmao gtfo Mobile Gamers
Nice comment karma, downvote farmer. I literally wrote a whole ass essay about it but you're obviously illiterate. I'll ignore you.

You're literally on a mobile subreddit you idiot
Fuck the BF 2042, fuck you EA
It's not even released yet and you are already judging it?
We all know that ea is not kinda the best company, but let's not make such quick decisions. Maybe it'll be even better than codm
Codm campaign when
not gonna happen
