Sometimes the UK kinda peng
By - ReedyMcGG
I couldn't imagine that the UK had ever been described as peng but turns out it was [one of the first](https://imgur.com/a/32HXclT) descriptions of our fair lands once they united. Who'd have thought.
presumebly how [this](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penge) was named
Penge is the standard for beauty to which all things are compared. Even a South African mine is named Penge due to its similarity to the place.
That is a beautiful view, but am I alone in having absolutely no idea what 'peng' means?
Same as 'lush'.
Peng is a slang word that can mean many things e.g delicious, beautiful, sexy etc.
TIL! Thank you!
You wouldn’t get it
Just a bunch of grass. Knock it down and get some council houses built.
I’m joking but also I’m not.
Where might that be, good Sir?
It’s in Somerset on top of Dunkery Beacon roughly 1700ft above sea level ,it was a long walk.
Would love to know this as well.
Showing my age......
Bottom left in the picture is a piece of fern that looks like "Weed" from
Bill & Ben. (Children's TV programme from the 60s).
Perhaps recoiling in horror from being sprayed green?
Is it only me?
Near threw my pipe at the screen thinking "peng" was some sort of American slang. Turns out it's Caribbean so I'll let it go.
Lmao thought it was London innit
That's where London gets its slang as of the last quarter-century or so
I only know what peng means because I’ve been watching love island. I’m not sure if I should be proud or ashamed.
No offence mate but ashamed just watch like attack on Titan or something
I have no idea or desire to decipher the word. But It looks nice
Will be covered in roads, pilons, G5 masts, rail, or better still a space station, ya lets stick a space station in there.
