LOK-1 Smart Rifle (Gameplay/Upgrades) - Cut from stream
By - repixreal
Doesn't lock onto lootbugs. Good to know. Probably avoids other passive monsters like harvesters too.
I'm excited for this gun in particular because I've never loved either the shotgun or SMG for the engineer. Like they're both fine but neither of them excite me.
If built right Stubby feels like one of the most powerful guns in the game.
What build would that be?
2X222 EM refire stubby is pretty good.
That was my first instinct as to how to build it, but I found it really disappointing. Electrocuting a crowd of bugs isn't that good when you could have just wiped them with your secondary, and it's a bad build for quickly killing bugs which ambushed you, and that's something engineer really wants.
I'm fond of 1-2-1-1-1 with Super Slim rounds personally. It just makes the gun into a very straight forward "point at the weakspot" weapon like most of everything else with a slightly tighter spread and virtually no recoil to compensate for.
Only doing 20 per shot base, now I see how it's balanced
the mod that causes an explosion after 3 shots on 1 target could be strong, like when Jacob shot the breader with 11x2 shots, could have been almost 8 explosions of extra damage
and 180 ammo, oof
This weapon should have an OC named Trickster smh. Would fit perfectly with its name.
Already looking forward to using this on console with my bootleg scout build.
RJ250 I’m guessing?
Also really loving that tacticool reload animation.. Really nice crunch to that bolt charge.
The only thing I see is a full auto smart pistol, which as a Titanfall player gives me *nightmares*
Another Titanfall player I see…
Rendy Gaming fires away in this G100 Kraber montage!
That man is an actual God for his ridiculous kraber shots. I don't know how much of a gigabrain you gotta be to use that *thing*
100% true. I’m not a bad FPS player, and I have a bit of experience with snipers in other games, and those shots are *insane*. IMO DMR is better though :)
Sorry about the abrupt music ending with a sudden jumpscare..
I'm such an amateur! xD (Edit.. Youtube editor actually worked! Yeah I'm shocked too!)
To me it felt like Loki and Drak should've swapped between Scout and Engi.
Lok-1 would be busted on scout, scout depends on good accuracy for the most part and having a lock on weapon combined with scouts speed would be way too powerful.
(Lok)i sounds more like “lock on” if you don’t think about it.
I do believe that's part of the pun, yes.
I thought OP was saying the weapon names should be switched, but they may very well have just meant the weapons as a whole. Mb
Absolutely have to say, this weapon looks like it absolutely demolishes its ammo store, and doesn't get very much from resupply.
That makes it a bit more balanced tbh
I don't quite see the need for it to be used as a downside. The gun already doesn't aim for weakpoints, which means it's going to use more ammo *anyway*.
I feel like it makes it require a bit more thought than just “lock and shoot”. Though we’ll see how painful it is when it actually comes out.
Isn't that the whole draw of the gun though? Otherwise it's just a worse hipster m1000 lol
Don't really want to make this comment but anyone got an unedited clip? Or a direction I can go to see the unedited clip? Feel like a real arse for asking, sorry.
Drg official discord & twitter both link to their twitch channel where they keep the whole VOD of their streams
so incredibly hyped
I´ll definetly make myself a sniper build since long range single target is what engie lacks, so having that combined with any aoe type build from the GL or the BC would work perfectly.
Alternativly you could go for a .50cal GL and a mass lock on build but i´d still prefer the version above since AOE scales somewhat infinitely depending how skilled you are while single target a bit less.
Long range LOK-1 is my plan as well, with the overclock that ignores armor and always hits.
Also, any excuse to bring out the fat boy for aoe is reason enough for me.
