Finally the draculad is built with trackball

I would upvote this if it weren't for those damn keycaps 🤣
Hahaha but hey it could of been worse I could have put them on all the keys instead of just the ones I didn’t have
I just put these on my sofle. They’re helping me become a better typist without legends, or so I tell myself..
Those thumb caps tho...
How is the trackball for that thumb position? I am just about to build a dracuLad myself and also have a trackball, but I think it feels horrible and was thinking of mounting on top of the OLED cover instead for index finger use.
I have no issues with it tbh I use a thumb style trackball mouse so I’m really comfortable with it. The only thing that bothers me is that they’ve made no use of the button inside the trackball itself which was a bit disappointing. I keep clicking the ball trying to select something then realize I have to use the mouse layer but it’s great.
I might be being blind, but where's the trackball.
Right side thumb red ball there it’s the pimoroni trackball breakout
Ahhh ok. I was looking for a giant call haha.
Yeah that’s what I figured when you asked me that although, it would be pretty cool if it had a larger trackball, but….. it is a small form split keyboard and the small trackball actually works really well for this and that’s with 3 27” monitors and my 17” laptop screen. I was worried that I would have to scroll a ton just to move the mouse around but that’s not the case. Really the only thing I would change is putting the trackball on the other side as I think it would be more comfortable. That will be on the next one I make with the custom color pcb and plates I ordered when I thought I wasn’t going to be able to get this one to work lol.
What's the top keyboard and smaller boards in the middle called
Top board is an iris and the macro pad is a bdn9 both from Keeb.io and the other one is the Navi 10 from keyhive.xyz
Did you see the recent post about a new pimonori QMK implementation that makes it much smoother and accurate?
