The pep talk we all need in our life
By - MirrorTasty777
As someone with a sister 10 years older than me, this girl is just soooo happy her sister is paying attention to her. That’s why she’s being a bit over the top
As someone with a brother and sister that are 15 years younger than me, now I feel bad when I don't pay attention to them...
I see my teen sisters mb once a year but thats just cus i dont want them to see me at my lowest point which has lasted for a few years now
Edit: this is the most loved ive felt in a long time. Thank you all.
Same reason why I've been avoiding a lot of extended family...why is my lowest point not ending?
Because you can’t wait for that shit. You need to start climbing out of that hole by making every day a little better than the previous day.
It’s a deep dark pit. Only gets better when… *you’re batman* LOL
^(Seriously though, reach out to your siblings/fam! Tons of homeless people don’t even reach out just from that same thought. They then miss the chance to get help, even if their family is only 15min by car away.)
Are you me?
Going on four years now. Wish I could say it gets better…
It’s a vicious cycle. See if getting more time with them actually pulls you up a bit.
It doesn't matter to them
Where you are in life doesn’t matter. You’re still family. They will love you regardless and learn from you either way. Either you’re the blueprint for success or the warning tale of what not to do. Either way, who cares? As long as you care about each other, that’s all that matter.
Never let your pride dictate when you should or shouldn’t love or be loved.
Go see em anyway. Maybe they’ll pick you up for a few hours. If you constantly live at the low point it starts feeling normal. A little pick me up could do wonders.
Your lowest point yet … so go see your siblings
Go see them anyway. They’ll be happy to see you regardless
Hey don’t feel bad! Hopefully this knowledge can give you some insight on your siblings’ perspectives. From my sisters’ perspective, I was a spoiled baby. From mine, my parents were so burnt out on raising them that I didn’t get nearly as much attention and was constantly begging for it. I think a little empathy goes a long way in a sibling relationship.
Some siblings turn out to be judgmental your whole life and then turn into unrecognizable narcissists just because they pass the bar after law school. Empathy went a long way away from her perspective at a certain point in her life and now I can only be around her for a very short amount of time before I want to throw up.
They can be unrecognizable narcs even without a bar exam. I miss being younger & ignorant to family dynamics
It's hard man. I'm ten over my little bro. I cheer him on in his endeavors, but we are just in two different worlds
Just wait till they hit the late teens. You can watch movies and TV shows together and bond over that.
As someone with a sister 11 years younger than me, just be there as they become adults, and look forward to developing that relationship with them.
I'm so close to my sister now when I'm 35 and she's 24, even though through her childhood and teen years I barely knew her. She's one of my closest friends now.
Bro same, i didn’t expect this guilt to hit me hard while browsing Reddit
Why do you think she grabbed her head because she doesn’t usually pay attention to her younger sister
The lament of younger siblings everywhere.
I was the annoying little sister because I JUST WANTED TO PLAY GAMES WITH YOU BRO. You were the coolest person to hang out with for many years in my eyes.
Ugh I feel that. Younger siblings just want that attention and approval because the older ones are the coolest in our eyes.
Telling your therapist over and over again for 10 years will make you feel a little bit better from my experience.
Can confirm, i have a sister that's about 10 years younger than me and whenever i play video games, football or go mountain biking with her she's super excited and happy, kids love attention from older siblings, make sure you remember to show some love if you have a younger brother/sister
Ugh yeah. When my brother and I were young kids we hung out with our four year older sister all the time and it was great! Then she got to high school and was annoyed we were always, "bothering her" but really we just wanted hang out with her.
She’s like “oh I got her attention? im using this moment y’all watch this” 🤣🤣
Bars, outer space and dream job. Soon to be a drunk astronaut.
Just don't throw up in the helmet
Why did you write hashtag? Couldn't you actually use the #Hashtag?
Why use hashtag when you can use UTF-16? Then it would be u0048ashtag
Username checks out :)
That would be Hashtag sir, not hashtag! Btw even simple he could use u0023
#When I use hashtag on reddit my words get big.
Can be fixed by adding a \ before.
People who write # instead hastag cant spell numbers.
This pep talk would be so motivational for me . I want my could kid talk like that , it will surely boost myself especially when Im down. I love that kid !
Kids talk like that cause someone talks to them like that. That someone for your kid is ideally you. Boost that little mf as best as you can.
Wow, the coolest sister ever. She`s telling no matter what makes you happy go for it, I will always here to support you.
If you want to be a locomotive, you can do it. If you want to be a dward, go for it!
Musk finally gets to Mars only to find that this girl already opened the first bar there.
Imagine hangovers on Mars. oyyy.
"Why is that airlock SO LOUD??"
“Crack a window, will ya?”
Cant believe she had that kind of thinking with her young age.
Such a good adviser, well grown child.
Like an astronaut in the ocean 🎵
Richard Branson just found his first bartender for the hotel on the Moon.
Little sis got no time for your pity party... almost got my ass up off the couch
If YOU want to get your ass up off that couch, YOU get your ass up off that couch! Okay? Okay!
BRB, fixing what I can.
Fuck me, this is relatable.
If you want to keep your ass on that couch you keep your ass on that couch! Okay?!
Okay. But, what if there's a more comfortable couch two feet away? Do you think I can make it?
This operation will require extensive planning. Eh, maybe tomorrow.
Ugh fine I'll go finish packing
You want to get your ass off that couch? YOU GET YOUR ASS OFF THAT COUCH! You want to get into your sweatpants? YOU GET INTO THOSE SWEATPANTS! You can do it!!!
Getting into sweatpants requires getting off the couch so I’m out dog.
Ain't no power in this world that will separate my ass from my couch
That nose boop at the end QQ♡
Anyone know what older sister says at the end right before the boop?
I THINK she is saying “My eyes are cross eyed looking like this”
“I’m going cross-eyed looking at you like this.”
I absolutely would have cried if my sister did that, because I'm the most sentimental person ever 😂
I cried at this and I have no brothers or sisters
the little sister we need but not the sister we deserve..
Oof I felt this one
I have 4 siblings and only 1 of them I talk to regularly. Siblings are cool but not everyone is super close with them.
I mean my dad is 0/10. His family doesn't even know where he lives. Myself included. lol
That little girl has drunk girl in a bar bathroom energy. 😄
I think we should all strive to be more like drunk girls in bar bathrooms
Drunk bathroom girls are an amazing sisterhood! They've had my back more than once when a date went wrong.
Edited to add (because it is relevant) i met my best friend when we were both drunk bathroom girls trying to support a stranger who was upset.
I made a major faux pas years ago. Trying to start a conversation with a girl I met, and said "oh hey, you're X's girlfriend.".
She's kind of a well known DJ. She walked out.
I didn't think about it from the snooty side for years.
Edit: I guess I needed to add that this was in a bar bathroom.
Who, X or the girl was the dj? And you probably need a little reminder: You probably didn't do anything wrong and some women just don't *like* other women.
The girl was the DJ. Probably should have gone with dj skills, not X's girlfriend. I just knew him, thought it was a right way to start. I'm not very good at it.
The girl was the DJ. Most people don't like solely being referred to as "significant other of person".
I've met loads of people by being introduced as "Brian's girlfriend/partner/fiancee". I'm so much more than that, i havr a life too, but if that is what establishes the connection then that is good enough for me.
I think it might be one think to get to Beyoncé and say "oh! You're Jay-Z's wife!!" But if you don't actually know the person you are talking to or if your connection to them is their partner I really don't see a problem
Hell yeah I am always that drunk bathroom girl!! I fucking love helping strangers in the bathroom.
Whoo hoooo! We are legion. And we have tissues and spare mascara!
And tampons & pads & a clean pair of socks are always in my bag.
I remember getting soooo drunk and stoned that I stood talking to everyone in the girls' bathroom. Hours flew by and amazing stories were told. Also I'm a man.
You can be a man and be a drunk bathroom girl, of course you can! One of us... one of us...
I don't think guys will ever understand how wonderful the sisterhood of drunk women in bar bathrooms is. It is truly lovely and one of my favorite things about being a girl. If you are ever feeling down, let a random woman in the bathroom set you straight. ❤️
Is there a drunk girls in bathrooms sub? Because those moments are the purest most wholesome moments in the universe, sometimes with added hilarity. And I just need that right now because I'm going thru it.
I bet her best friend is a girl who has too many juice boxes and passes out on the floor lol
best visual ever
*"This guy here, this is the guy."*
She's gonna be such a good friend! Hyping up her friends and supporting them in whatever they choose to do.
It seems like she's already a good friend.
Wish I had friends like this bruh
You want friends like that, you go get friends like that. You can do anything you want.
Gassing up her friends while holding back their hair. These type of women make the whole world better.
Yes. We all need support. “Out of the mouths of babes”. Indeed.
Lol!! Sure does!
Sounds like a cheerleader with full of life
Came here to say this. She’s all of our best friend in the bathroom, wrapped into one small little girl.
I don’t even go to bars all that often (I’m 24 and I’ve been out maybe 5 times in my life lmao and I don’t ever get drunk) but every single time I’ve had girls gassing me up in the bathroom and it’s honestly adorable 😂
Hey guys I'm going to thr Bar tonight and then Outer Space tomorrow and when I get back I'll start my Dream Job on Monday...
IF YOU WANNA GO TO THE BAR, YOU GO TO THE BAR!
She's even slurring her words.
As a trucker, I too help strangers in the bathroom.
Wha-ever yoo doooo….. dew it!
You! You you you. Can. You can gooooo. If you want to go to space. Go to space. You can go.
I am also 23 with a wacky 9 year old sister. I'm going to go visit her now after seeing this video... She once stayed up with me until 1am while I beat super Mario bros on switch from start to finish. She wet a washcloth and wiped my brow (she insisted) and woke everyone up with cheers when I beat giant Bowser. What can seem like a sad lonley night of doing nothing is made so so much more memorable and significant with the right people, *especially* kids. We celebrated with *secret* mozerella sticks and talked about everything from the speed of light to 20 sided dice until she fell asleep on the couch
oh dear lord thats adorable
That’s really sweet, and now you both have an amazing memory together :)
Also, nice username lmao
The parents are like "we got it right this time."
Your comment made me laugh but damn, it really fucking hit home.
“You think **I’m** their favorite?!”
Everyone knows you gotta reroll after messing up your first character.
I was confused asf because I was frequenting the Genshin Impact subreddit just now and then saw this comment and thought your comment on that sub glitched and appeared on this other sub.
Hell you could see the sister wants to start crying and knows what her sisters going to say already, I’d say she sees her healthy relationship with her sister is paying off :)
JUST. DO IT.
But sire our troops
I understood that reference.
Haha brilliant connection
DON'T LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS.
Yesterday, you said tomorrow. SO JUST DO IT
Damn, that would make feel like I could run through a wall after a pep talk like that
If YOU want to run through a wall, then do it! Okay?
That kid could be a life coach, or maybe a therapist
When she was born she welcomed you in family
Damn, that made me miss my late baby sister.
I am so sorry for your loss. Makes me want to hug mine that's in another state
She’s not dead she just was supposed to be here at 11 and it’s past noon now.
You're a dick. And so am I for laughing.
I laughed and now I feel horrible.
I hope you and yours find peace and healing. My condolences. God bless you and your family.
Happy cake day
I pray she's in a happy, peaceful place, away from all the negativity of this world, watching over you and your family, always there for you all ❤️
Her nine year old self talking to her 23 year old self, split images they look just alike.
I always tell my 15 yr old don't make decisions that 23 yr old you is going to have to deal with. This would be that in real life.
"I just wanna go to the bar, have a few drinks, not get too spaced, might write that letter to land my dream job... but hey what's the point"
I'm thinking big sis wants to go drown out her work troubles at the club, little sis wants to be an astronaut.
I do that for my brother. He’s 37 and I’m 27.
“Now make me some cookies.”
I go outta space tonight.
I need that pep talk every day pls
Wow… now I realize being an only child freaking SUCKED
It's not all motivational speaches. Most of it is hitting your brother in the head with a mailbox or locking your sister in a trunk and trying to fill it with water because you saw a movie about Houdini.
Dude what did you do?
Secured their inheritance.
Got that bag bruh
😂 sign me up still
My brother once threw a whole rock at my head à la Cain and Able. Later I pushed him off the top bunk bed and he broke his arm. We would often take turns crushing each other under a mattress for fun.
i have a good sister but a toxic af brother so it really depends on how good the sibling is
I’m the youngest of seven. Three are 12-18 yrs older. Three of us are only a few months apart (adoption). We’ve always felt bad for only kids. I mean who do you pester when you’re bored? Who can you have knock down drag out fights with and 30 minutes later help each other to put together the perfect outfit? Who do you frame for the missing batch of frozen homemade cookies mom hid in the freezer? Even as adults we fluctuate between supporting one another and being total assholes to each other. It’s glorious.
Oldest of 9 and siblings really are everything. I’ve been there several times with those cookies
I'm the youngest of 4. I get along superficially with the oldest, happened when I hit like 20 (her 30). My brothers, though? It's extremely toxic. They had each other, and being picked on by both of them was craptastic. They were mean to me most of the time, ate all the food, stole, got my bikes stolen because it's a shitty city and you have to lock up everything or it's gone in 5, 4, 3, 2... whoosh. We never got along. I genuinely *hated* them for ages. Now I live states away, so it's more not giving a shit that they exist and fielding the one's calls where he begs for stuff because he can never get his shit together. Neither can the other one, but he doesn't ask for anything.
Having siblings can be good when it works out - my SO is extremely close to his brother. But when it sucks, it super-duper fucking sucks.
It’s a lottery similar to being born to good parents.
Maybe it’ll be great and healthy but it can also suck and leave lasting negative effects on you growing up.
Edit: referring to having siblings
I have a younger sister and she's cool but it's nothing like this
but dude we only-child's have this awesome leg up when it comes to enjoying our own company, which is something everyone's gonna have to learn to do eventually.
Well my older brother hates me and hasn’t talked to for a year
As someone with 3 incredibly shitty siblings, it's all luck of the draw. Don't feel too left out.
Only child speaking here! I think it depends on the quality of your siblings, like other replies have already mentioned. Honestly, I think being an only child has helped me learn to entertain myself + keep myself in check. Plus we don’t have to put up with the burden of something like “why can’t you be more like your sibling?”. I mean, sometimes my mom still compares me to my friends, but I imagine that having a sibling would make it 10x worse. Plus, I know some siblings who absolutely HATE each other. They probably wouldn’t ever keep in contact if they didn’t share the same blood.
Then again, I’m pretty introverted and my house is where I recharge, so the idea of coming home and still having to share oxygen with someone (who could potentially be annoying or mean) sounds exhausting. Maybe it’s different for you! But I think there’s still value and joy to be found in being an only child.
[Wait until the inheritance kicks in](https://i.imgur.com/WLcLP2l.png)
I don’t have a little sister but does she have some more wisdom for me
My sappy a$$ would be tearing up at that hehe
Made me tear up. That’s a good kid.
My thoughts too. Its awesome and all but no I don’t get to go to outer space. I do hope she gets to though.
I was going to say this. She just doesn't *know* yet. She doesn't *know*. 😣
You go out there, AND FIND THAT FUCKING DOG!!!!
they clearly showed her a motivational video in assembly that morning
Alright! To the bar!
Looks like Shia LaBeouf died and was reincarnated as a little girl
JUST DO IT
What if she just wants personal space?
I kid, that little girl is adorable and sweet!
That kid needs to become a life-coach!
Oh… to be naive again.
Seriously, your 9yo sister just hyped me up with that speech.
The dog’s all pumped up as well
“Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face” - Mike Tyson
I love that she has obviously had this drilled into her, and is sharing the wisdom!
I need a little sister like that lol
This is truly beautiful! I hope that little girl gets all the great things in life.
😂😂😂I want to go to a bar in outer space to be a bartender.
Wholesome as heck
Man, I wish my little brother was just as motivating.
All he wants is to play Scribblenauts on my switch, whether or not i know
9 year old girls are the smartest people on the planet.
I love her. She is a tiny mom. It doesn't matter what advice she is giving, she can sell it.
That’s amazing. My brother is also 14 years older than I am. I feel like this is our relationship.
This is so sweet i have diabetes
