I recently started playing Minecraft. I thought it would be really nice to have cats. but they kept on breeding and now I have like 30 cats. I don't want to kill them but I also don' want to keep them. if there is any way I could let them go and they won' follow me? id really appreciate some help :)

There them around the world it will keep creepers away

Qui_Gon14

Feeding them fish makes them breed so that’s the first problem, and no. There isn’t really a way to get rid of them

Shoeshine5794

make them sit places. will keep the creepers away, and they won't tp with you when you leave the area

Xomsa

Build the cat city

mahek23

that sounds interesting

MedasJ226

make like a little house or something, and stop giving them fish, that's how they keep breeding

mahek23

wont they die like that?

iNexune

Nope they won't, they're everlasting, just surround your house with them, no creepers :)

generalgeorge95

Animals in MC don't need food, food is used purely to attract, tame or breed them but they don't actually need to eat and will never lose health from it. Though feeding them at low health does restore some.

KingStevoI

Normally and without cheating, no... You could walk them somewhere out of sight and leave them there, but if a cats tame it will follow unless told to sit.. There should be a feature update that makes pets stay, follow or idle about, as well as the ability to stroke (or hug maybe) your pet

[deleted]

You can already make pets stay and follow, no need for a update for that

KingStevoI

I get that but I said stay, follow, or idle about making 3 commands not just 2 (stay and follow). I could've maybe worded it better

synomen

Find the deepest cave you can find, lead then there, sit them down then abandon your babies.

kphoenix137

Try this: /tp @e[type=Cat] ~ ~1000000 ~ Out of sight, out of mind.

mahek23

thanks ill try that

kphoenix137

If it says the number is too big just reduce it to 1024 or something

generalgeorge95

Not without killing them but you can just have them sit and they won't move until you tell them too. put them around strategically and you can have anti creeper/phantom cats.

QuaziBlade

I'd say split them up and put like 1 in every room of your house

QuaziBlade

You could use them to scare away creepers and phantoms

QuaziBlade

Or you could build loads of creeper farms

Kill em
