Not to say there aren't legitimate complaints about TUSD but it's still lightyears better than being in LAUSD, so count yourself lucky.
i’m only in tusd because i used to be in lausd but my parents didn’t like it
What's wrong with that? Academically tusd is better.
nothing, just saying
Reminds me of Lawndale high. Years ago when the school was green lit to be upgraded, there were many contractor companies that wanted that contract to build said upgrade. Guess which company won? It was a company owned by one of the high ranking board members husband. Lmao corrupt as fuck.
Start writing for the school paper. Then ask to do an article about various administration people and start asking questions on the record AS A JOURNALIST. And watch them squirm.
I did this in high school 20 years ago about a different issue. I don’t think it changed much but at least people talked about it.
The school newspaper has editors for that reason. Also he would have to publish something knowingly false. Which is a pretty high standard.
Its actually a softball field for the girls team.
Band should host fundraisers and ask local businesses for donations like the sports teams do.
Its not unusual for married people to work in a huge district like TUSD.
It would cost millions to install an AC at the school and who knows how much it would cost to maintain.
Good luck and hope you have a good year at school.
LBUSD is installing AC at all their campuses and they have double the amount of campuses. When I was going to TUSD it wasn't necessary but the increase in extremely hot days is making it a necessity for kids to be in a comfortable learning environment.
$466 million went to ac installation at the LB schools.
I was at back to school night at THS this week and a teacher said it would cost $200 million to install AC units at TUSD. I thought that was a crazy amount but after reading the news story below I dont think she was exaggerating.
Yep, it isn't cheap but it is fairly apparent that it is going to become a necessity and all SoCal school districts should really begin planning and preparing to upgrade.
Some contractor would be waiting to get rich off that :)
Yeah I’ve heard the Torrance schools suck
Waah, waaah, waaah! Try paying thousands of dollars a year in taxes to educate other people's whiny, entitled kids when you don't have any of your own. That's something to complain about, not the type of FREE chicken you're getting fed, or that you're not getting FREE band while you're getting a FREE education.
Let me guess...you have entitled, ungrateful kids that I'm paying to educate?
