First time I had Hi-Pointe it was fantastic. Second time it was garbage. Hopefully this isn’t a case of expanding and losing quality control.

jayeedoubleeff

Same. Although, the second time, I felt sick to my stomach because of the sheer intensity of the food. I felt that it certainly tasted as intended though. This is my unpopular opinion, but most of the food is just insanely over the top and sickeningly decadent. I had to stop following them on IG because I just couldn't handle seeing another three pound burger with mac & cheese fries and sausage gravy being poured all over it. Hi-Point is pretty much just Paunch Burger from Parks and Rec come to life.

Hypocrisydenied

It's always been super salty too.

helpmeplzzzzzz

I think their quality has dropped a lot over time, and expanding definitely isn't going to help that. Don't understand how it's still so popular. You want a great burger, go to Mac's Local Eats.

MrTuesdayNight1

I keep hearing about Mac’s. I need to check it out.

glitchfactor

Can we be done with this style of architecture?

freedom-d

Haha not in Cottleville that's for sure. This is a commercial equivalent to McMansion Hell. :)

FakeAsA4DollarBill

Do they really need to build a new building? I thought there were multiple vacant spaces in that area?

imlostintransition

Are there multiple vacancies in the Cottleville Landing shopping plaza? https://goo.gl/maps/wKHtAGoURNyZZgjf8

trphilli

Just guessing, those existing storefronts pretty shallow. Probably too small for the volume of a Hi-Pointe. Also, the article mentions Qdoba partnership which might conflict with other Mexican restaurants in existing plazas.

RogaineWookiee

So excited for this!

WillowIntrepid

O'Fallon, IL too!

Where is Cottleville?

I only count Cottleville as a place on St. Patrick's Day. Every other day of the week I just consider it St Peters.

slapshot2742

It’s where you get hearty fines for going 5 over. I think it’s 25 thru the “downtown” strip. You’ve been warned.

RogaineWookiee

Where is there a walkable downtown strip (other than Stl city) that isn’t 25mph and isn’t strict on people speeding where many folks walk….? Sounds like someone is salty for getting busted

slapshot2742

Nope I’ve never received a speeding ticket. Lighten up buddy.

bUrNtKoOlAiD

It's kinda between St. Peters and Weldon Spring.

I guess all good things must become a chain.
