I imagine it's the band's interest and personal preference. Some of the outros are very long yes but it's something of their signature and you learn to appreciate it. It also feels a bit more immersive in their universe don't you think? The lyrics are done but the song countinues on leaving you in the moment a little longer. Also some of the outros link into the intros of other songs :)

I love when the outros go into other songs (Bc I always listen to the full album in order) it’s so satisfying

They're conceptual albums. The world starset songs take place, while not too far off from our own in a lot of ways, is fascinating. There's graphic novels and and music videos all really help tie it all together. At the end of the day startset is more than a band, they are an experience. It's why to don't have concerts but demonstrations.

And [here](https://www.amazon.com/Prox-Transmissions-Peter-David/dp/1302908103/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?adgrpid=52837968621&dchild=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw7rWKBhAtEiwAJ3CWLM-XgBTtQTs3WGdgRsUVW3kaeopHweBcawis2oy05jXd8IFLNKR_1BoCksQQAvD_BwE&hvadid=274871296469&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=1025567&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=14280234915104732599&hvtargid=kwd-364941264696&hydadcr=12162_10197798&keywords=the+prox+transmissions&qid=1632536316&sr=8-3) is the comic. Both are about the same story (focusing around the *Transmissions* album) and both share the same name (*The Prox Transmissions*), though both contain the same story the novel is a bit more detailed and covers more specifics. There is another novel (*A Brief History Of The Future*) focused around the *DIVISIONS* album, that was supposed to be coming out this year although it was delayed due to Covid and the new album taking priority.

WOAAAH THATS SO COOL

IrisCelestialis

Their genre is *cinematic* rock for a reason. Those outros are mini movie soundtracks. Them being there is one of my favorite things about Starset.

AlterBridge2Bludhavn

I remember those days of not being able to skip the outros. That must be why I haven't been bothered by them any time recently.

Celq124

I believe Dustin Bate(singer and main writer?) have interests in film soundstracks, on top of what other people’s comment

SlapsDecider

I use Audacity and cut all of that nonsense out
