So many politicians are evil!

cmc-bot

Obama was such a fantastic president! Hope we have someone like him again.

PK5466

Literally he was top 10 worst presidents

A_well_made_pinata

Yes we can!

Barktf2

Care to elaborate? Not saying you are right or wrong, but completely in the dark as to why you would say that.

PK5466

Slavery wasn’t based on race, Europeans have had white slaves and whatever other type they could get their hands on, so when Africans started selling slaves they bought. It was not because they were black that they became slaves, but rather that is what was most available.

queerkidxx

I have never in my life seen someone that is so proud of being so ignorant. Like , how can you walk into a room and say “I’m stupid and nobody should listen to me” like your doing rn. I’d have way to much shame

PK5466

Debunk

queerkidxx

Go ask somebody else to explain basic critical race theory to you. This ain’t the 1940s you have Google lol

PK5466

You’re just wrong

Barn_Loka

I fuckin hate this attitude. 'You have google'. Someone asked you to make a point and you're dodging any sort of debate with this one sentence. Always seems to me like the people doing that read a big brain term like 'critical race theory' and think to themselves 'uh, I will sound so intelligent throwing this around, I don't even need to know shit about it'. Honestly why do you even post when you don't have the decency to make a point and have a conversation?! I will never get it. And btw. OP is not wrong. There were many white societys in europe who owned white slaves. YoU gOt A hIsToRy BoOk, LoL .___.

queerkidxx

Because it’s kinda ridiculous to ask someone to parrot an argument that they refuse to find a themselves. Ain’t nobody debating this isn’t speech and debate and we aren’t discussing something dumb like sports. If in 2021 and you don’t under stand basic race relations having some random try and recite someone smarters argument is just a way to side step the conversation Everyone else has done their own research and educated themselves why is this dude so special that he needs someone else to Google things for him so he can try to argue against human rights.

queerkidxx

Lmao what a side step we aren’t talking about Roman slavery like go read a history book the us was built on race based slavery and it impacts every aspect of every Americans life. Like seriously idk what to tell you look up the history of slavery in the us go read a history book it’s embarrassing to be an American and just not get slavery or think it had anything to do with the god damn Romans

Barn_Loka

ImpactED. Past tense. Slavery is over (well, at least in the u.s.). And while I agree that the american history is heavily based on and shaped by slavery the question is if it's a good thing to still linger in the past. Morgan Freeman once said something along the lines of: 'You want to end racism? Then just stop talking about it.' And while I understand why this could be hard to understand for some people, there is a lot of truth in this statement.

I might be as ignorant as you are if my response to any word i didn’t understand was “you’re just trying to sound smart” Go fucking find a critical race theory class I’m sure there are free ones out there online if you really know this little about the subject. You have no excuse to be as ignorant as you are when you can find any information you need online

Barn_Loka

OP was talking about slavery in general. Not the slavery in america specifically where you would be able to make a connection to race. So in this argument roman slavery, viking slavery, egyptian slavery, etc. has to be considered. The problem is (from what I see at least) that americans tend to think they 'invented' slavery when it is in fact a phenomenon that is as old as humanity itself. Also, I don't think that OP thinks he needs a special education. There was a thought shared. Now you might have insights in that topic that are worth sharing. I stand by my initial comment. Your first respond makes you seem entitled as fuck. Especially when you seem to have missed the crucial part of this thought.

Barn_Loka

Have you read this yourself? I mean this basically tells you that slavery is more of a cultural issue than it is a racial one. ...kind of makes OP's point. (Again: we are talking slavery in general. Not the u.s. slavery in specific)
