If management jobs usually pay more in your area, get enough experience to reasonably brag about and apply somewhere else. If you’re looking for some more spice to it, Don’t give notice when you leave

What's the barier to entry in the business? If you essentially run the show, why not start your own company in the same industry?

I barely have any money left after gas/ rent

I guess you have to decide if you are unhappy enough to make an ultimatum or not. Just understand the risk and assess if you can afford said risk.

Tell them you no longer wish to be a manager.

Rhamba

The only reason they say no is because they trust that people who work there don’t do It for money, but stay because they get emotionally stuck like you are. They are using you.

Probably not what anyone wants to hear here, but you have the experience, so I thought I'd share. if you wanna apply for a SBUX manager its actually really easy. I can give you a cheat sheet for the interview and everything. You'd be a salaried partner though. I make $16 as an SSV. You'd probably be in 3-4 days a week. But, I know managers get fat paychecks. That or form a union!!
