Where will we find our control numbers? I want to vote my shares directly on the GameStop shareholder website

Broad-Peanut-5585

Good man .the numbers fidelity gave didn't even work on gme official site.https://www.investorvote.com/Login?cn=74842

FidelityJenny

To successfully participate in the proxy vote for GME, you will need to use the instructions and control number provided by the broker/agent where your shares are held. GME shareholders that hold their shares with Fidelity should follow the instructions in this post to participate.

not_ya_wify

I want my legal proxy to vote directly with GameStop on the day of the shareholder meeting. How do I do that?

FidelityMarian

Hi u/not_ya_wify, You are able to vote by proxy by following the instructions provided above or in the email we sent you. You are able to vote until 11:59pm ET on June 1st, 2022, the day before the shareholder meeting. If you want to vote on June 2nd, 2022, the day of the meeting, you would need to go in-person to the meeting to do so. Please note that you may need to show documentation that you were a shareholder as of April 8, 2022. For more information on what would be needed to attend the shareholder meeting in-person, please contact the security's investor relations.

not_ya_wify

The meeting is online and it says we need to get legal proxy from our broker to be able to vote

FidelityKatherine

To vote by proxy through Fidelity, GME shareholders should follow the steps outlined in this post if they wish to participate.

FidelityEmilio

When Fidelity issues the proxy materials to shareholders, you will receive your control number for the proxy vote. That will then allow you to use multiple methods for voting, including going through our website or submitting the request by phone/paper. Please follow the instructions in this post to find your proxy materials once they're released. Note, we will update our post once we have a specific date their availability.

Asleep-Plantain-442

It appears the actual GameStop site for voting is expecting a 15 digit control number but a 16 digit control number was provided and gets rejected on the site. Have seen others mention having the same issue. What’s up?

scintillaby

Same here, the control number that was emailed to me does not work on https://www.investorvote.com/gme This is the website provided on the GameStop Proxy Statement. Can you give us a working control number? u/fidelityemilio u/fidelityjenny u/fidelitytaylor u/fidelitykersi u/fidelitymarian u/fidelityinvestments u/FidelityMark u/FidelityAdam u/FidelityJordan u/FidelityJosh

littlebittypigeon

same here. fortunately most of my shares are DRS'd. looks like they found another way around the rules.

FidelityJohn

Thanks for reaching out to us on Reddit, u/scintillaby. I am sorry to hear that you are having a hard time accessing the proxy materials provided in the email we sent you. You can also access this information on our website by following these steps (login required): 1. Click "Accounts & Trade" 2. Choose "Statements" 3. Select "Proxy Materials" You can also access this information by following the link below. [Proxy Materials](https://statements.fidelity.com/ftgw/fbc/ofstatements/getProxyMaterials)

FidelityEmilio

I'm happy to clarify, u/Asleep-Plantain-442, To successfully participate in the proxy vote for GME, you will need to use the instructions and control number provided by the broker/agent where your shares are held. GME shareholders that hold their shares with Fidelity should follow the instructions in this post to participate.

xavieronslaught

It's pretty apparent fidelity wants you to go through their website because they hold your shares in street name and not your name. So the control number you get is not your real control number. It's fidelity's control number for you. In order to properly vote go through Fidelity's website and vote. Then ensure you save a copy of your PDF with Fidelity's control number in the upper right hand corner. And submit that in an email to [email protected] as suggested by GameStop

Broad-Peanut-5585

It's not the proper one

Kolopagus

It seems to me that it is taking longer for GME’s proxy materials to be released than other securities I own, why is that? For instance, I own shares of HYMC, and their proxy timeline is relatively similar - HYMC’s record date is 4/6/22, annual meeting is 6/2/22. I have received proxy materials and voted my HYMC shares but I have to scour a subreddit for an update (or any info from Fidelity for that matter) about GME proxy materials. HYMC theoretically has 100M more shares outstanding than GME yet their proxy materials seem to have been processed much faster. 🤔

Ihadthat20yearsago

Will voting also be possible through the app?

FidelityTaylor

Hi u/IHadthat20yearsago, Thanks for reaching out to us on Reddit! At this time, the proxy voting materials are only accessible on our website. We do appreciate your feedback on adding this access to the mobile app and pass it along to the appropriate team.

CatatonicDad

Sorry but I have to ask… Fidelity’s AUM is 4.5 trillion (with a ‘t’) and you never thought to make voting accessible on the app before a self proclaimed “ape” asked? Consumers have been far too soft on their brokers to date. Edit: how can you downvote this? They have infinite resources and you want to defend their right to lower the bar for your own expectations! Lol what?! Edit edit: holy shills lol

SuccessfulPen4519

Didn’t downvote you, but could see why people might. I would personally hope they spend zero time on adding voting to the app. There are dozens of other things they should add before voting which is not time sensitive.

CatatonicDad

If your point is there are a bunch of other more pressing needs they haven’t addressed then we agree in principle that fidelity is failing is customers.

SuccessfulPen4519

Not sure about failing they have given me tools to grow my wealth substantially over 10 years. There is not one app on my phone where I wouldn’t want dozens of things changed. Over 10 years I have certainly grown to expect slower enhancements at Fidelity than some of the smaller brokers I utilize for specific purposes.

Illustrious-Volume91

I see where you're coming from I get emails for any other investments I have just not for gme

Illustrious-Volume91

No you're right with my pharma Inc proxy vote they sent me an email whenever I called Fidelity to check about the proxy vote for GameStop they say I have to keep checking and there's a whole series of steps you have to go through

That’s fine. I personally find it unacceptable for a company of this scale. You can choose to find it acceptable though. That’s your prerogative.

Illustrious-Volume91

Oh I've been looking for the proxy voting material on the website step one and go up to positions then proxy material is the only one I have it is for pharma Inc not for GameStop

it_aint_ralph_thoo

So I received voting material from [ProxyVote](https://central.proxyvote.com/pv/web) for my shares in my ROTH account. Is this company/proxy material not affiliated with Fidelity? Thanks guys.

DrGraffix

Ira Roth. David Lee Roths uncle.

I_DontRead_Replies

Why do you capitalize Roth like that? It’s named after a person, it’s not an acronym.

super_pablo_

WHAT?

TIL that Roth is Roth and not R.O.T.H…

ProxyVote is operated by Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc., a third-party proxy materials provider that is hired by companies needing to distribute proxy voting materials for upcoming shareholder meetings. While ProxyVote is not directly affiliated with Fidelity, we will provide control numbers and voting links to proxyvote.com once we have received confirmation from Broadridge that voting materials are available to Fidelity account holders. Proxy materials may be distributed electronically or by mail (or both), depending on the delivery preference you have selected for your account.

fed_smoker69420

How do I get confirmation my vote total has been received by Computershare, the company hired by GameStop to officially count the votes?

FidelityEmilio

The number of votes is determined by how many shares are held as of the record date. This can be confirmed by going to the Account Positions tab and selecting the position in question. There will be a drop down that has a section titled "Purchase History". Simply add the shares in the quantity column that are in the acquired date rows prior to the record date of the security that you are voting on. If you'd like, we can verify your vote by reviewing your account in a secure chat. After your vote is cast, please send us a Modmail at your earliest convenience and we will connect with you there.

fed_smoker69420

Thanks for the response. I just learned about "legal proxy" to allow direct voting of my shares at the annual meeting, so I opted for that!

littlebittypigeon

Why is my control number 16 digits? It will not work via the gamestop proxy voting site.

xavieronslaught

It's pretty apparent fidelity wants you to go through their website because they hold your shares in street name and not your name. So the control number you get is not your real control number. littlebittypigeon

where do they suggest that? Thank you for the answer by the way. edit: found it in the proxy materials. thanks again.

xavieronslaught

dylanrobbs2

It appears I am having the same issue as a lot of other people. I am attempting to use my control number to vote through GameStops official site proxydocs.com/GME and its saying I have an invalid control number. I have seen people say that we were given a 16 digit control number where they are expecting a 15 digit number. Any clarification?

Broad-Peanut-5585

https://www.investorvote.com/Login?cn=74842 this is the proper site

Smiadpades

Awesome. Just voted and sent the email!

JaySlaysKeto

Thank you for answering this.

Steve__evetS

How does one ensure that the correct # of votes are cast? IE I have 250 shares that i vote and Fidelity says, "You've voted!". How do i verify i voted that number of shares and not 1 share?

FidelityMarian

Hi u/Steve__evetS, The number of shares is determined by how many shares are held as of the record date. Steve__evetS

I'm familiar with record dates and determining my benefiical ownership rights to the shares. For example I should have 250 eligible shares eligible to vote and it will confirm that I have voted but no where says how many votes were cast. My concern is that while i should have rights to 250 shares how can i prove that fidelity didn't provide me an identifier for say 1 share?

FidelityJenny

If you'd like, we can verify this information with you. To do so, we will need to review your account in a secure chat. Please send us a Modmail at your earliest convenience, and we will connect with you there.

fed_smoker69420

How do we get confirmation from Computershare the company hired by GameStop to tally the votes? That's the confirmation that actually matters.

bumassjp

Then why was I able to vote already on Computershare then? You’re saying fidelity isn’t as good at providing service as Computershare?

Thejadejedi21

Probably not when it comes to directly registered shares…it’s like holding your own cash vs having to do a wire transfer. CS is the direct rep…and Fidelity is a step out from them. There are other advantages of Fidelity…like speed of buying and selling, options, etc.

not_ya_wify

Fidelity is 3 steps out from them

Thejadejedi21

Yea…also though, ComputerShare is limited to only the stocks they are transfer agents for where as Fidelity I believe you can buy every share on the market.

not_ya_wify

Most people here only care about one stock

Thejadejedi21

True, and considering it’s a thread about GME stock that would make sense. Fidelity is great as a broker…but It’s hard to compare a broker to a transfer agent as that specific stock is concerned.

not_ya_wify

For GME, Computershare is the way

Thejadejedi21

This *is* the way

Broad-Peanut-5585

Absolutely

Illustrious-Volume91

I received proxy voting for the shares I got in cash app it's only a couple but I received it and cast my vote I have not received my proxy voting material for my shares and public or my shares held in fidelity

omw_to_valhalla

Thanks for the update!

Immortan-GME

Sounds like you don't have the shares. All other brokers sent out voting much earlier. Most GME holders are now at Fidelity. You have to admit this smells fishy, esp. after the 12m shares to short "manual data entry mistake".

Tasty-Window

I just got voting notices regarding my shares in Fidelity and TD Ameritrade (via email, within minutes tonight). Looks like the proxy voting is being managed by Broadridge - so I assume they reached out to shareholders tonight (irrespective of what broker you use).

justonemore327

Do people not remember from last year, or of this just for the noobs?

tealcosmo

I mean yea, it's for the noobs, it's called good customer service given how many people are asking these questions, and how many times it's been asked here on this forum. Keeping everyone informed is pretty good practice.

Ixnwnney123

This is cause people be calling them like wild fire seeing computershare(CS) people vote; just one of the many benefits of being with CS

quezlar

yup i voted my cs shares days ago still waiting on fidelity and jp morgan for the rest

Crpto_fanatic

JPmorgan told me they don’t sent you the vote. Are they lying to me?

quezlar

i didnt ask i just assumed stuff was coming slimy

How do I access proxy materials for shares in my BrokerageLink account?

FidelityBrent

Generally, proxy voting materials for shares held in a BrokerageLink account are mailed to your address of record or sent to your email address on file (based on your delivery preferences). Once you receive your proxy voting materials you will cast your vote on proxyvote.com using the control number provided to you. For additional questions related to your BrokerageLink account, please contact our Retirement Brokerage Services Team at (866) 956-3193. Associates are available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.

tonytdmd

My account said I have 400 shares to vote, but I have held 10x that number for long term. What is the issue?

FidelityBrent

Hi u/tonytdmd. The number of votes is determined by how many shares are held as of the record date. It is important to note, if shares were transferred into Fidelity after April 8th, the former broker is responsible to provide proxy voting materials. If you'd like, we can review your account with you in a secure chat. Send us a Modmail and we will follow up with you there.

Asleep-Plantain-442

u/fidelityinvestments any update?

FidelityJessica

An update was recently posted. Check it out at the bottom of our original post.

Teach_Me_2_Play

Question: I have 2 purchases made for GME. One on 3/15 @252 shares and the other on 4/28 @224.045. I see can vote for the 252 shares now, will I have to wait for the additional 224.045 to show before I vote or will those 224.045 shares be on a different control number?

FidelityJennifer

Thanks for reaching out, u/Teach_Me_2_Play. The record date for the shareholding meeting was on April 8, 2022. This means that you must be a shareholder on this date. The last day to buy shares and be registered as an owner on that record date was April 6, 2022. Since you did not purchase the additional 224.045 shares until April 28, you will not be provided voting material for those shares.

Teach_Me_2_Play

Ok. So if your investor owns, let’s say 1mil shares purchased after April 6th and they don’t have the right to vote on those shares they own, what happens to the vote on those shares?

FidelityBilly

In this example, the owner(s) of the 1 million shares as of the record date of April, 8th will vote on those shares. Remember that every trade has a buyer and a seller. In this situation, the seller will retain their right to vote since they were listed as the owner of the shares on April 8th.

Teach_Me_2_Play

I get what you’re saying. It just doesn’t make sense. How can someone who used to own GME still have the right to vote when they no longer hold the stock, as long as they hold on to them after April 8th. But thank you for the explanation anyways.

cisconate

I haven’t received any information yet for my fidelity NetBenefits brokerage link account shares. Can fidelity assist please? No email either, however ProxyVote “sees” this account.

cisconate

I checked the proxy statement, and I don’t see any entitlement for the 58 shares held there.

FidelityMarian

Hi u/cisconate, Generally, proxy voting materials for shares held in a BrokerageLink account and instructions on how to vote are mailed to your address of record or sent to your email address on file (based on your delivery preferences). Once you receive your proxy voting materials you can follow the instructions to cast your vote using the control number provided to you. For additional questions related to your BrokerageLink account, please contact our Retirement Brokerage Services Team at (866) 956-3193. Associates are available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.

Tealean

I still have no listed proxy material for GME, I have 94 shares, last purchase was made on 3/16/22 - with many being considered longs. What can I do to access my proxy material?

FidelityBrent

Hi u/Tealean, If you are unable to access your proxy voting materials using the instructions above, please send us a Modmail and we would be happy to assist you further.

Existing-Reference53

According to the Gamestop Proxy. "At the time of the meeting, we can go to [www.cesonlineservices.com/gme22\_vm](http://www.cesonlineservices.com/gme22_vm) and follow the instructions to upload and submit our Legal Proxy". So, we can vote through our broker (proxyvote) prior to the meeting or upload our proxy card from the broker at the time of the meeting to the GS website (www.cesonlineservices.com/gme22\_vm), is this correct?

FidelityKersi

Hey Existing-Reference53! When Fidelity issues the proxy materials to shareholders, you will receive your control number for the proxy vote. That will then allow you to use multiple methods for voting, including going through our website or submitting the request by phone/paper; however, we are not able to comment on whether the link you provided can be used for submitting your vote at the time of the meeting as that is not a link associated with Fidelity. To confirm if your vote can be submitted through that link at the time of the meeting, please reach out to Gamestop's Investor Relations.

SkylisGlass

Guys keep all the GME stuff here. We don’t want to flood their Reddit with how many people are ready to blow the corruption off this market

Icy_Art1996

I’m not smart as a preface to this comment. But I “own” a certain amount of shares and I was not able to vote that many. Is there a reason for this that I don’t understand?

dylanrobbs2

If you didnt own all of your shares before the record date then they wont be included in this vote

FidelityJohn

Happy to clarify, u/Icy_Art1996. The record date for the shareholding meeting was on April 8, 2022. This means that you must be a shareholder on this date. Keep in mind that the last day to buy shares and be registered as an owner on that record date was April 6, 2022.
