New to this crazy hobby and bought this K1 and a KR4 3 weeks ago. Got dark and went over to a dark spot in my complex to try it out. So very satisfied. Some kids saw me shooting this beam into the sky from their apartment and came over to ask me about my "laser"...

I have a white beam but now I’m thinking of getting a green as well… gotta collect them all

Where can I get that

RandoCommando73

This is a "Hank light". Hank sells them [here](https://intl-outdoor.com/led-flashlights/k1-21700-thrower-led-flashlight.html).

Hank is the owner of [intl-outdoor.com](https://intl-outdoor.com/). Intl-Outdoor is where you can find the Emisar and Noctigon brand lights such as the Emisar D4V2 and Noctigon KR4. "Hank lights" is a phrase often used to refer to the two brands. His lights are very customizable and if an option is not listed in the drop down lists, you can email him and he can accommodate most requests. His website is the official place to order them, but they do ship from China. This means you'll get your light, but it can take a little longer than what most people are used to. Hank doesn't really post on reddit, but he does update [a thread on BLF](https://budgetlightforum.com/node/67638) fairly often when he releases new lights, or gets certain things back in stock. The link to that thread is below. To start off, the [K](https://i.imgur.com/oKTnuj1.jpg)[1](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/js82dw/uber_eats_driver_couldnt_find_my_address_had_to/) is available direct from the manufacturer, [international outdoor](https://intl-outdoor.com/k1-21700-thrower-led-flashlight.html). **Emitter Choices:** Osram W2.1- Pencil beam, absolute maximum throw (1549m, about 1 mile!) at the cost of output (900 lumens). Has the longest runtime out of the emitter choices. Also available in red, green, and yellow. Note - this is often referred to as simply the W1. Beamshot [1](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/hote45/shooting_the_k1_w1_into_space_beamshot/), [2](https://imgur.com/gallery/rL1fE1D), and [3](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/et8lkw/another_k1_w1_beam_shot_totally_impractical_for/). W2.1 vs. Weltool W4 LEP [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/ilckcz/lep_weltool_w4_vs_hanks_finest_k1_w1/). Osram W2.2 - Slightly wider and more useable beam, slightly less throw (1512m), higher output (1500 lumens), and uses about 50% more power (so has about 2/3 the runtime of the W2.1). [Beamshot](https://imgur.com/AobtVMh). About 4° hotspot. [Video of W2.1 vs W2.2](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/krdiox/k1_w1_me_blue_button_on_left_side_vs_k1_w22_him/). Beamshot comparison of W2.1 vs W2.2 [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/kti7bd/as_requested_k1_w1_vs_k1_w22_beam_shots_from_my/). The W2.2 is the most popular choice. XHP35 HI - Less throw (1039m for 3000K/4000K) but significantly wider hotspot, available in multiple colour temps (W2.1/W2.2 are 6500K and SBT90.2 is 5700K, white only). [Beamshots of XHP35 HI vs. W1](https://imgur.com/a/hNrxGLl). SBT90.2 - Maximum output (\~4500 lumens), relatively wider hotspot (6°), and a great amount of throw as well (1296m), but gets hot quickly and needs to step down after about 30 seconds. Consumes a lot of power and needs a high drain battery, shortest runtime out of the emitter choices (about 15 minutes, stepping down steadily). Also a $50 upcharge. Get this one for maximum overall 'wow' factor. [Beamshot](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/ixa0rp/if_i_bought_a_helicopter_and_this_was_the_only/). **Batteries & Charging** The K1 has a USB C port that's accessible when you unscrew the body tube from the head so a separate charger isn't needed. The K1 uses a 21700 lithium ion battery, the 2 most popular for the K1 are the Samsung 40T and Samsung 50E. The [40T](https://liionwholesale.com/products/samsung-40t?variant=12252585885790) has 80% the capacity of the [50E](https://liionwholesale.com/products/samsung-50e-21700?variant=12667804450910) (4000mAh vs 5000mAh), but it has a much higher discharge rating (35A vs 9.8A on the 50E). All of the Osram emitters pull less than 9.8A, so the 50E is recommended. For the XHP35 HI and SBT90.2, you'll want the higher discharge rating of the 40T. Never buy batteries from Amazon, Li ion batteries are banned on Amazon, and the ones that are illegitimately posted there are often dangerous fakes. ^(I AM A BOT.
