Can I send bitcoin to ledger live without ledger connected to it?

The Ledger subreddit is continuously targeted by scammers. Ledger Support will never send you private messages. Never share your 24-word recovery phrase with anyone, never enter it on any website or software, even if it looks like it's from Ledger. Only keep the recovery phrase as a physical paper or metal backup, never create a digital copy in text or photo form. The ledger is required only when you want to send coins from your wallet.
Receiving crypto do not required any action from your side.
It‘s like your bank account. Do you need to be logged in to receive money? No.
So you also don‘t need your Ledger, once you have your Public Key.
No. Because you cannot send coins to a ledger wallet at all.
You send coins to the chain. The chain is always there.

Directions too confusing, dick stuck on ledger
Actually the answer is Yes, if you have the public address you don't need to connect the device to receive BTC.
The question was “do I lose crypto or something” if someone sends to your ledger wallet address when it is connected you don’t lose it! You can see it next time you log into it.
So the answer is NO you don’t lose crypto or something if you send to your ledger wallet address when it is not plugged in.
That totally wasn't the question though. Pretty sure that's the problem w/your comment.
