Got my 2nd dose of AZ yesterday and I've have a serious headache for the entire day today. But hey, at least I get to cut my out of control hair in 2 weeks time :)
I wonder if it's against false advertising law for Shopee to promote discounted goods then remove the item listing before the sale even starts.
Paralympics commensed, anyone knows about our reps?
when Jamal Yunos stand up against Azmin everyone laughs.
now Azmin is at the closest point that he could ever be to become the deputy prime minister.
Seriously house price in Malaysia is so ____ (fill in the blank with your choice of answer)
There was a [news article](https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2021/08/18/houses-at-half-price-anyone/) talking about house prices potentially going down though
Venting a bit here.
My family were discussing about the possibility of going to my sister's graduation ceremony overseas next May and dad made a passing comment about how I was annoyed at their presence when they came by to mine a few years back. I knew it was going to be brought up tbh because it was, to be fair, so disrespectful towards my family, especially my parents who basically paid for everything.
It wasn't until when they arrived then that it hit me how stressed out I would be with the lack of privacy and change of routine. For context, me and my other sister were living in a 2 bedroom apartment (she followed me to the same university overseas) then so my parents decided that they and my younger sister should just stay at the apartment when they dropped by. I agreed since it would save a lot of money, and I thought, "there won't be any problem with my sleeping in the living room for 2 weeks". Oh, how wrong I was.
I was stressed beyond belief once they arrived. The sudden change from having my own room that I can retreat to to being exposed 24/7 at the living room was absolute hell. Suddenly I'm in overdrive on constantly trying to be what I am in my parents' image while balancing against the way I've been living my life there.
This coupled with the fact that my exam ran all the way till right before graduation day so I had to study while they were around and expecting me to teman and bring them to places. Idk why my sister just refused to help me on that when she was done with finals days earlier but whatever. Found out I failed my senior project when they were around too so I technically couldn't graduate yet :') but that's more my fault.
Ugh, idk, I feel like I want to tell and explain to them why I behaved that way but I feel like they just wouldn't take my reasoning. My dad especially would probably exclaim something like "why do you need so much privacy?", "what are you trying to hide?" etc.
Shit, no wonder I was annoyed and frustrated the 2 times my mother visited me when I was in uni. And I thought I had issues, maybe ungrateful, antisocial, rebellious
I feel you, family can suck at times :(
Do any of you here still WFH 100%?
Previous company kept going on and off wfh last year to early this year. I left for my current company and everyone wfh permanently, boss cleared the office end of last year
I have been working remotely since getting hired in late August 2019
I still WFH 100% right now but am returning to the factory on September 6th. We're past 80% double dosed as of yesterday so 2 more weeks and we're all going back. I'm only getting my second AZ dose next Monday but it should be fine lol.
Since I get my job on October 2020, I have yet to step into my office.
I had webcam interview with a few of my bosses.
IT sent laptop to my apartment.
I have yet to meet any of my colleagues in person.
Any idea when will you be back to the office?
Yep, but will probably return once schools open.
The company I’m employed now is still deciding and the earliest everyone can be back to the office would be in early October.
Are you going back to the office since most are completing their 2 doses?
no word from HR yet.
soon maybe when we get into phase 2
Where in Klang Valley can I live with not so high rent and clean air but not so far from KL? I can't stand Shah Alam anymore. It's too loud and the air is too bad
Maybe Bandar Kinrara. Used to lived there until 2012, its like a small town where everyone knows eachother and always bump into someone you know. Dont know about now tho but theres an lrt station in Bk5/the center of BK
And its near the Ayer Hitam forest reserve
If you know where to look, part of Kota Damansara is near the forest reserve. Air quality is good.
Also near MRT (need grab or MRT bus to get to station).
If you want to live in strata unit, example will be De Rozelle Condo, D'Rimba Apartment. Rent for whole unit around RM1.5k.
better do it fast, in 5 years all those forest reserve will be gone for more housing
If OP want long term better assurance of greenery:
Kepong - Desa Amanpuri. Some strata there is right beside forest reserve that tie with FRIM. (eg Seri Puri Apartment, rent whole unit RM1K). Can find similar areas in other part of Kepong / Selayang.
The disadvantage is lack of access to public transport. Advantage is lots of good foods within short driving distance.
Wow the place looks nice. Worked in Sri Damansara for 4 years, not knowing the place. But the main road there quite busy no? (LDP/MRR2 intersection)
Hehehe, on that road, there are 3 apartments, Seri Puri is at the top, nearest to the forest. But lots of car park beside the access road, so morning when residents go to work, there is a bit of traffic.
The LDP / MMR2 junction, after the upgrade, is better now.
When the MRT2 line is up, can Grab to Kepong Sentral station (through residential area without hitting the main road).
Maybe somewhere in gombak
Not a bad shout that. Any area specifically?
I didn't explore Gombak enough to recommend you anything. Maybe Gombak Setia or something I forgot the name
Complained about mosquitoes in my room. Mom gave me a small spray thing. Says i should use it. I didn't even read anything on the spray i just took it and sprayed it at each corner of my bed. Turns out it's the 'fumakilla vape one push'. Ur apparently supposed to spray it 1 time in the middle of a medium sized room. I feel dumb cuz i am dumb. I hv no idea if it's dangerous. Don't know if i should sleep on the couch tonight or just yolo it.
It's not dangerous, but yeaaaah the smell can be pretty noticeable if you apply too much.
Should have good effect on the mosquitoes though.
Welp, I slept on the couch
Just finished watching Modern Family. Some storylines got a little repetitive, but I still enjoyed the show.
Any show recommendations? Preferably comedies available on Netflix. I like to turn off my brain and watch it in the background while I do other things.
Lucifer has a nice mix between comedy, fantasy and some crime fighting. Not sure if up your alley but the character development is fantastic.
I watched the first season back when it first aired, maybe I'll pick it up again.
Have you watched Community?
I'm at season 5episode 11 rn. Stopped for awhile because I wasn't enjoying it as much. But you know. Kinda invested this much time into it, might as well make it to the end.
just watch season 1-3. season 4-6 aint good imo.
I’m currently rewatching it. But yeah when Troy and Pierce left the show it kinda hurts me but I still gave it a chance to watch it to the end. I think towards the end they still manage to deliver good writing and creative storyline consistently. Still haven’t really moved on with the last episode . *I cried watching it . It kinda left me with heartwarming feeling but sad at the same time.
Haven't reached to the end, but ye. I did enjoy the earlier seasons more.
season 1-3 are gold. watching season 4-6 feels like a drag
How's the latter seasons? I'm now in season 3 and it's been quite good but I read people complain online about Manny and Luke not knowing how to act anymore as they grow up lol
Well I still enjoyed it. Sometimes the acting does throw me off, and I do enjoy the earlier seasons more, but I think it's still watchable. It still has it's moments. But you should really judge for yourself. I try to avoid reviews because I want to decide for myself if its something I enjoy or not.
I am falling into the rabbit hole of:
Check out one of their live performances video in YouTube.
Oh hello! I've been following them for years and even been in their new year concert back in 2019!
I agree with you. Their concert energy is totally different
I am definitely going to look out for chance to go to their live performances.
Checking out their fan club site, seems they are doing Japan tour this year.
Maybe next time I can plan my trip to Japan around their concert.
It's fun to discover new thing!
Aim for their new year concert. Best bang for money. I went to the smaller concert and the energy from the crowd was just not there
Thanks for the recommendation.
Fellow Wagakki Band fan! HELLO!!!
I fell in love with them few years ago when I discovered their Senbonzakura cover
They also did a [collab](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyFskO6iB2E) with Evanescence's Amy Lee in 2020 too, freaking amazing!
Yes, their cover is nice, but I like their original composition more.
Somehow the studio album couldn't fully convey the impact of live performances. Their showmanship is fantastic!
Seremban? Where are you cross district to?
Apa ada dekat sana?
I've been at Senawang since February, no chance to explore N9 yet ever since moving from another state.
Orang selangor here ready to parang you.
Mana phase 2 untuk selangor!
September if you believe the MB
The worse thing about growing up was the one fear that I had growing up. Acceptance that the world is not good, it's bad, it's evil, it's corrupted and you can't change anything significant. True to my fear, the higher I go, the more I understand the concept of tolerating corruption and managing stakeholders for the 'best' appropriate action.
Back when the pandemic wasn't a thing, I found a good way to mitigate this was volunteering. I even did some work remotely teaching refugees English. It was fulfilling.
Legal question: Friend got a bonus $$ amount for the previous year company performance, but in fine print in the bonus letter it says "if you resign before 2022, we reserve the right to reclaim your bonus and pro-rate to the number of days worked from the payment to 2022 which will be done through salary deduction." IS THIS EVEN LEGAL?
Doesnt sound legal honestly. Usually they just put a clause to waive your bonus if you resign before collecting it.
Which is why a lot of bonuses are disbursed mid-year. Eg. You work Jan to Dec 2019, bonus disbursed next July 2020, by which the work you have done from Jan 2020 to July 2020 will be disbursed July 2021, which you will not get if you leave Aug 2020, you get a sense of not being rewarded for half a year's worth of work.
But I dont think a company can deduct your salary like this.
Yeah agree the first paragraph which I'm used to seeing, hence my doubt. But they've already paid out the bonus (quite an amount, roughly 5 months+?) So it might actually be financially burdening for people who didn't plan for their departure and have spent it all. :(
Almost certain its not legal. Withholding bonus is one things, deducting wages is defined quite clearly in the Employment Act. You can't do it except under specific circumstances.
I see I see. Will find out more about that in detail, thanks!
Bonus is not legally owed to the staff unless contract states otherwise so I believe they have the right to set conditions
Not a lawyer
If your friend accepts it as a condition of the bonus payment, company might able to do so. I’ve seen company ask worker to pay back previous bonus due to bad company performance before by salary deduction.
But usually workers contract takes precedence. And very unlikely company to pursue on legal ground since it takes a long and tedious process if involved labor department.
Yikes. He didn't sign anything though, not sure if that helps.
My advise just keep all the necessary documents needed to defend himself, just in case there something happens in the future.
Car selling question: if you buy a second-hand car and want to sell it later, would your car "geran" be different from the first hand owner? Do you even get a new geran at all or just use the name transfer document as proof of ownership? If so we can easily tell if the car is second-hand or have more than 2 owners right?
If you buy second hand car and change it to your name , you will get new geran with your name in it. Unless you buy it without changing the name. Am I answering your question right?
I see. I'm just wondering how we can tell how many previous owners a car has by looking at the geran. In that case I suppose the tarikh pendaftaran would be changed to the date you purchased the car from its first owner?
Nope . The tarikh pendaftaran will stay the same even with different name in the geran. It shows the date where the car first registered. I’m in a process of selling my secondhand car too. Still waiting for the best price before closing the deal .
So there's no way of telling how many owners the car has before? I'm actually looking to buy a second-hand car but I want to learn more about the selling part because I'll eventually sell the car one day. Also worried the second hand car I'm looking at has already exchanged owner many times as that would be a sign of red flag.
I think the way of telling is by asking the seller directly la kot but idk whether they can be honest about that .
remember to tune onto the paralympics!
Totally random but I want to go to the tea plantation in Cameron Highlands and take in the lush greenery
Till then, I’m stuck at home :(
I want to go back to Kundasang again ))):
Not random I've been wanting this for a few months now :(
Let’s gooooo Paralympians! 🇲🇾
In 2 days time i max out my OT for the month. I dunno what to do with myself after that...
Received free RM20 from Paypal. Any idea what I can use it on? Too bad I can’t withdraw since the minimum withdrawal amount is RM40
Lol I thought this was a phishing email and didn’t claim mine. You can always just keep it till you need it for a transaction.
Haha I thought it was too, till I opened Paypal today and it popped out, so I claimed it. I believe you can still claim it since I just did earlier in the evening. And yeah, I guess imma just keep it in Paypal for now.
Thought of that. So Paypal doesn’t have a minimum amount that you have to leave in the balance?
Ahhh, unfortunately it seems that I can only top up with an RHB account? Which I don’t have
Haha no worries. Was just thinking if there’s anyway to withdraw it. If not, I’ll just keep it there for the time being, it might come to use in the future. Thanks for the suggestion though!
[Support someone you know on buymeacoffee.com?](https://www.buymeacoffee.com/) or [a few months of MUBI membership, global curated film streaming platform](https://mubi.com/)
Oh wow, mubi does seem interesting, thanks! I’m also gonna have a look if there’s any organization or something that I can donate the money to via Paypal
>organization or something that I can donate the money to via Paypal
Maybe check out gofundme then. Iinm they accept PayPal.

Is it worth upgrading my stock unifi router to the tp link ax50? 100mpbs plan btw. I can't figure out if it would actually improve anything
Depends, What router did you get? I get dlink dir 842 and it's fine being used by 5 people.
What do you need as well? Higher speed or better range?
Same, dir 842. During evenings my connection drops quite frequently but I'm not sure if it's a unifi problem or just more devices being connected at night (Android box)
drop the connection to the router entirely? or just things load slower?
Almost 100% router issue. This was my frustration with stock routers all those years back before I got into tech. They claim they can support 50 devices but then crap out at 7 or 8 devices.
If you hardworking, you can assign static IPs to each device. It will fix the problem and no need to buy a more expensive router.
The problem I suspect is that the router is just bad at assigning IPs, whenever a new device connects the router looks for an available IP and sometimes disconnects existing IPs to grant to the new device. And when the network is unstable with a lot of disconnects, the router is just unable to keep up with the assignments.
😔 now you're tempting me to add it back to my cart
Just hardworking go assign static IP. Just need to do it once for each device.
>During evenings my connection drops
Try asking everyone to disconnect and having only 1 device using it (for speedtest, youtube, anything)
If everyone disconnecting it helps, then yeah you need a router with more powerful chips. If it doesn't, it's unifi's fault.
Personally my router handles 2 netflix (1 android box + 1 smart tv), 5 phones, 2 laptops just fine
Also, try using the 5ghz connection. Especially in apartments, 2.4ghz are too crowded and too many overlapping connection causing the disruption
Yeah I suppose it does feel like a unifi problem since it only happens occasionally ... and there is no spike in number of devices connect.
Thanks, think I can remove router from my cart then 😂
>and there is no spike in number of devices connect.
Spike in activities can cause it as well. On my old router (from 2016 lol) whenever 1 of my tv opened netflix the rest of the device internet immediately slowed down a lot, to the point you can't watch youtube.
That's because handling netflix is the best the router can handle, they can't handle more connection lol.
That's why i suggest try disconnecting all but 1 device
Lol. Almost anything is better than the stock router.
I got dlink dir 842 from unifi. Haven't had any issue using it. 5 people using it with 100mbps throughput doesn't cripple the router's chip
People have different requirements, i said in another comment its fine if you dont ask for much.
For example, I wire almost everything, so 4 LAN ports isnt nearly enough. I alone take up 4 Wi-Fi connections and then not to mention my home security system running PoE. I like wide coverage to every corner of my house so I need a router with a strong signal because I cant be bothered with extenders or repeaters.
If you like wireless, its really fine if you stick with the stock router but again, almost any router on market now beats the stock one.
Not to mention that scandal with Unifi installing a backdoor remote support on your router some time back.
Yeah for most people using 100mbps connection, stock router (assuming it's the same dir 842) is fine.
I was so satisfied with the performance that back in my hometown i switched my old 802.11n router with that. It's cheap, and it won't be overwhelmed with 50mbps.
My old router sucks so much, when my smart tv loads netflix the other devices won't get any internet lol
Really? But why? Always thought it's the speed ...
Stock router is usually the cheapest router that unifi buys. Weak wifi coverage with very few ports.
Its okay if you have few devices and usually not far from the router you are okay.
Else you almost always need another router.
Are you wired or using wifi? A router can boast about all the speed it wants, but it means nothing if the connection to your device sucks. More antennae = stronger signals afaic. You can google about wifi signals in a house, how improper wiring or walls or anything really degrades the signal.
Anyone from Sarawak here know where to buy Korean drinks? I've recently been watching Korean food videos and the drinks look appealing to me. Haven't had the chance to go out and find it myself but I'm mainly looking for the Banana Milk and Milkis.
Managed to have Milkis at Choo Choo Chicken, it was pretty nice!
How bout Ta Kiong or The Gourmand? I remember buying a few Korean snacks in either store, but it's been a while since I've visited both stores.
Haven't been to Ta Kiong in a long time, good idea. The Gourmand has snacks but I don't think they have drinks, ill check again, thank you!
Definitely Shopee / Lazada ….. but dammmmm the shipping fee lmao. If you’re Kuching you probably got more chance to find it out there from shops lul.
Yeah the shipping fee is what bites; I am in Kuching that's what I'm hoping for as well; there used to be one Korean shop here but that was years and years ago. Now it seems like little shops are more towards selling China products
[I love me some fixative!](https://imgur.com/a/JehaFE2/)
I had this for quite sometime, didn’t actually know how to use it until I saw this tutorial on Youtube where you use it to fix and set your first layer pastels of basic shapes.
Best birthday gift ever. My eye got itself fucked again (my hair grew out too long and started stabbing at it for a few days) while the eye doctor was closed.
At least I got my meds today.
Happy birthday! Hope ypur eye gets better haha.
Since I got offer for pentadbiran awam from UiTM, what are the benefits?
If you’re not interested in government jobs, don’t worry. You don’t have to work in the field you studied in. You can consider consultation & strategy, project management, sales, hr, etc.
Whatever it is, get involved in extracurricular activities, competitions, short internships, volunteer, or pickup additional skills and languages on the side. It helps to distinguish yourself from other freshie jobseekers in the future.
Can join politics later on.
The UMNO MP for Padang Besar had a Diploma in Public Administration from ITM (UITM). He was Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia. Got good chance he can now become full Minister under PM Ismail Sabri.
Damn, I honestly dont want to involve in politics but can't do anything since my dad is so desperate of me to take public administrations.
Pentadbiran awam not necessarily politics tho haha. Just like others have commented, besides civil service, u can go for consultancy, research, management.
I’m guessing a chance for a government job
Best chance is taking the PTD exam. Skip the climb by quite a bit also any degree is eligible to enter.

wah covid hit so hard he had to sell this....
You know who is the owner ?
errr nope... just saw it while carlist surfing
In that case, how do you know he's selling because of COVID?
any air fryer recommendations? i don't know what to look when buying them except the price differences. under rm300 lebih sikit also can. anyone have one at home can give a review with lazada or shoppe link?
Philips Airfryers are highly regarded as the best. However, They're pricey and only comes in relatively small sizes.
Family bought a Primada PCR1220 on shopee. Its huge but a hassle to set up to let say cook fries or chicken. It also takes forever to actually fry or reheat anything so we end up using the oven instead. We rarely used it now.
We kinda regret our purchase tbh. Rather we gotten a mini deep fryer instead.
End of story
Ninja e: had it for some time, since I don't want exploding appliances. Works well, but the turning knob timer (cheaper version) sometimes kinda wonky, stops before timer ends.
I bought mine from Home Pro @ IOI City Mall a few years ago, Khind brand. I think as long as it's a branded one it should be good to use, try looking at Shopee Mall sellers as those tend to be official brand sellers
I'm currently looking forward to study in APU Malaysia being an International student and i've been searching for information about whether to choose computer science or software engineering. After a lot of research, i'm still not sure what to choose. Some people say that Computer science is better because it studies about all but some says software engineering is better because it focuses on one thing so it is more likely to get a job, and i would also like to ask is computer science a lot of theoritical? Can anybody experienced or maybe from APU malaysia help me to choose which one to study?
Also if you're currently studying or recently graduated from APU Malaysia, what's your opinion of APU Malaysia such as pros and cons and maybe some tips and tricks? I would also like to know if it is really true that APU's students are varied from many countries! Thank you !
I worked the burger stall that fed students who studied at APU. I didnt hear a single good thing about APU. Not one had anything nice to say. I spoke to Iranians, Sri Lankans and the local peeps. Dont take what I say too seriously though, they didnt seem to take it seriously. Hell one of em was a pilot who helped people fly high. Most common feedback was, they drill into you the need to document everything you do which makes sense, but when it came down to doing things practical, not so much
I spaced out so much these days.
I cooked some rice today . Without any water. I rinsed it. Added the rice in. Clicked the button. Forgot the water. It went one full cycle without water. Fortunately I added some oil at the bottom hopefully that prevent the rice from being burnt. Didn't smell any burnt smell so it's good I think. I just like adding oil cuz no rice will stick at the bottom when it's done.
I'm hesitating between on picking one of them for my starting career as a fresh graduate
1. Join a company that gives a super high salary where I have less confidence to perform well
2. Join a company that gives intermediate salary, around 1.3k lesser compared to the previous one but I'm more comfortable with it in performance
What will you choose and why? Appreciate for your comments!
I’ll go for number 1, sounds like a role with a steep learning curve plus a good starting pay makes a great difference and 1.3k is not a small amount.
Sometimes you have to check why they gave you high salary to begin with as there might be hidden problems that you need to solve.
Fresh grad I would say go for option 1. They hired you knowing you're a fresh grad so if it goes south it's on them not you.
I agree with most of the comment that you should choose 1, but I will also add that you should be more confident in your abilities, generally if the company gave you an offer, then they think that you meet their requirement, so you should feel confident enough that you can perform well as long as you try hard.
Well I do afraid that I might bomb my first job tho with such high expectation.
The company is making outsource softwares for cybersecurity for companies. Anyone have any ideas in the industry as I have zero knowledge on it. Is the market harsh right now or is it viable in the long term?
Always take higher salary. In salary negotiation when you move to other company, its infinitely harder to negotiate a higher salary.
"Why do you want to be paid X?"
"Well, my current job pays X, it makes no sense for me to work for you if you pay less right?"
Your starting salary is super important. Its the baseline for all future salaries. Recruiters and other companies use it to estimate the next pay. 1.3K per month adds up to a > 12k annual takeaway.
Nobody expects a fresh grad to do well. Its great that they do well but usually there isn't much expectation. Getting an opportunity role where you know less but learn more is great for fresh grads.
If you are good, money will come
Please don't hate me for this, I've been vaccinated and I implore everyone to be vaccinated ASAP.
Should an individual refuse vaccination if they know they are getting Sinovac?
Why? It's not effective against the delta variant which means even if you are vaccinated, you are still highly at risk. Reject it and wait for another date, isn't that the best option?
Given the ineffectiveness of Sinovac, the Gov should acknowledge this and prepare boosters. Despite the news, the unconfirmedness also meant that the current gov are not equip to rollout booster anytime soon.
Since we don't have a choice, the only other option is to bail and wait for a new appointment with a better vaccine.
Am I wrong here? Am I missing something?
Boosters is coming and you really shouldn't chose the vaccine you are getting . Anything is better than nothing.
Also we might be using Pfizer as boosters so yes bette to get a vaccine now and top it up later
no confirmation even after a month? isn't that suspicious/incompetent?
Maybe waiting for the new government for a decision. Any vaccine will inevitably need boosters regardless of what you take so just take what you have now. We will all need it in the future if you see what other countries are doing now
> · 31m
>They are procuring boosters. In the face of 20k case a day, just get vaccinated. Delta variant isn't the only one around, there's alpha, beta, omega, rolex, seiko whatever variant floating around and even though Sinovac isn't that great against delta, it still works against many other variants. Its like, better have airbags in your car. While the standard airbag setup isn't that good against side impact from this one particular angle, it's better than having NO airbags.
I was have the same feeling (anti-sinovac) with you 2 months ago, and keep ranting daily to my family about why the fuck gomen keep licking CCP ass by procuring more useless vaccine. However mRNA type like pfizer also has its issues like myocarditis and effectiveness basically wane after 6 months and drop to protection level similar to AZ.
Even though leader is stupid but the technical person in charge is definitely not stupid, they also aware of booster shots for us.
Our focus now is to get the hell out of this COVID shit asap and hopefully within next few weeks, ppl should just take any vaccines provided to you as for now, next time they can just take more booster shots like novavax, or any vaccines listed here: [https://covid19.trackvaccines.org/vaccines/](https://covid19.trackvaccines.org/vaccines/), if gomen able to import those.
You can refer to Chile daily covid curve, they also use tons of sinovac too.
sinovac is still effective in reducing the severity. I'd rather get sinovac than die waiting for pfizer. Sure since we're young the risk is low, but are you willing to roll the dice however small it is?
>Why? It's not effective against the delta variant which means even if you are vaccinated, you are still highly at risk. Reject it and wait for another date, isn't that the best option?
Individually yes. In a population however, having a 40% effective vaccine to a lot of people is better than getting 80% effective vaccine to small amounts of people
Being vaccinated you still can spread the virus but the amount of virus but it'll be less than unvaccinated
They are procuring boosters. In the face of 20k case a day, just get vaccinated. Delta variant isn't the only one around, there's alpha, beta, omega, rolex, seiko whatever variant floating around and even though Sinovac isn't that great against delta, it still works against many other variants.

Is house renovation/plumber can do in phase 1?
Can. Already 2 weeks since allowed
it was last year when I had to pickup some stuff at a shop around 7pm and in just 10mins, in and out, saw a bike with malaysian flags all over parked right behind my car, at an angle, in my parking box, infront of another car. imagine those shoplot parking spaces.
so i just hop into my car and hoping the person will come and move his bike. a few minutes in, nobody. so i had to maneuver my car out and didn't want to become the noisy car driver honking every other second.
the funny thing is, he puts the flags and a pole that made his bike almost twice as long. so it clearly was poking out of the parking box and it was hard, even for a myvi to turn and go out, so I just reverse and move my car ever bit slowly.
alas, after I saw a guy quickly running toward the bike, I nudge the pole and his bike slowly tip over while he was scrambling to catch it and he did, but few malaysian flags falls down.
rolled down my window, looked the guy and said "ok tak bro?" and his response was "lain kali bagitau la!" madly.
I was dumbfounded. ade letak numbo telefon ke dekat basikal dia? I asked myself. so I just drove away, didn't said anything to the guy afterwards.
fast forward this year, and he passed away and the media actually covered his story and all. I knew he was OKU but didn't know to what extent of it. Good thing I didn't go verbally sound him for blocking my car.
tl;dr : went to a shop, some guy with a bike with malaysia flags all over parked right behind my car and it was hard for me to go out and I tipped his bike over when he came to move his bike causing him to blast at me like I was wrong, but I chose to just drive away and he passed away this year few months back and the media covered his story as an OKU.
No need to beat yourself up for this, he probably forgot about the incident the next day anyway. We all have regrettes not saying something once. And its not like you knew covid was going to get him the next year. I hope his family is at peace tho
I'm alright. nothing against him anyways just another person I had slight feud with and the person passed away.
oh he didn't died bcos of covid, it said that he passed away in his sleep. he has other medical issue.
I don’t think you’ll be wrong if you did sound him, OKU or not. It’s not a license to inconvenience others.
Happen to have the link to the article?
i do, but it'll give away where i live and it's a small place. sorry bro.
No worries. Being apprehensive is a virtue here
Thank you for sharing. It feels like a reminder for me to always be nice & patience in any kind of situation.
Fire fighting equipment contractors often need to test run building's fire alarm system. Easiest is I know is to unscrew the break glass panel and trigger the switch inside, or use a testing spray to spray the smoke detector.
But, the fastest lazy trick is to light up a cigarette and blow smoke at it. No need to bust out the test pen and fiddle with the break glass panel.
Last year I saw a contractor smoke 5 cigarettes during the course of an inspection. This year, he's moved on to vaping. Still triggers the smoke detectors, but less expensive.
Holy cow rich contractor to blow 5 cigarettes at once.
Healthier too haha
I got a random call and whatsapp from some kebajikan group and they said someone gave them my contact through their "referral form". Anyone else kena this before?
I feel kinda bad since it's a kebajikan group who's in need of donation and help, but I'm also a bit pissed someone shared my contacts without my consent. I don't know how to feel. I'm not exactly loaded, I just blew a big chunk of my money and most of my emergency money is gone. So why me?
I received similar phone call too, apparently they're a rumah kebajikan in Kelana Jaya. I also wonder who sold my contact details to them.
Mine is a PJ kebajikan, and super Chinese, the guy stuttered when I told him I don't understand him and to speak in English
Mine speaks both but prefer mandarin. Anyhow, after that call, I started to receive a lot more spam messages. Curse whoever sold their contact tracing log book.
Sounds like a scam , don't give money unless you give directly
My feelings are now [tipped towards feeling pissed](https://ibb.co/zXkMZPF), so I deleted their conversation everything so there's no trace anymore. If they continue to harass then I'll block
Hari ini dalam berita kawasan perumahan
- So jammed! Telawi back to life, annoying in the sense that can't stop by leisurely as before to tapau. Back to zero parking and double parkers.
- A number of shops, have allowed dine in.
- Didn't know, can go maskless. One dude striking a conversation with me on the pavement sans mask, dei 2 dose vaccine can dine in - yes. No mask- NO!
- Some shops last time begging for customer, now back to open. Lansi balik -_-
- Am all for hiring disabled folks, but the job scope has to be adjusted accordingly. They hired a mentally slow person, to take orders. Person couldn't understand orders, asked for coffee she just laughed uncontrollably. The customer next to me, ask to tapau kuih, no answer, he spoke in Tamil (shocking me, Chinese guy) and she just walked off.... errr
Owner came to the rescue, said she needs the money as she is pregnant and po po summoned her son RM 2K. Thus why she gave her a job. Aunty, bagilah dia kerja lain mcm packing, potong sayur, not front desk.
I fucking hate shops like that.
Here's my sob story . MCO hurts. Bla bla bullshit
Oh can dine in d? Well fuck the 20% discount given for take away during MCO. I got overheads to cover and nicer cars to buy
Hope those business die soon
Yup, cerekarama masa MCO. After MCO, snobby and poor service. As thou, we are bothering them, to take our orders!
Ngl. Sometimes I hope another round of MCO to purge these kind of shitty business from the gene pool.
Fuck them shitty business for abusing our goodwill during MCO then give us steaming pile of shit once dine in resume
Sometimes, I feel yes support independent businesses. But they way I get treated at times, nah i just don't want to deal with your nonsense and head over to McD's.
Why is it that KL drivers drive so unnecessarily and dangerously fast like they are rushing to places all the time?
I mean, the highways in the city like Federal, NPE, KESAS all have speed limits of either 80KM or 90KM, and for good reason too (hint: its for safety). But yet, you can be on these highway doing 100KM-120KM on the right lane and you'll still get tailgated by someone behind? Even worse, many of these tailgaters/rushers usually dont even give you a second to move aside then pass but instead choose to weave in an out amongst the heavy traffic instead and its so dangerous!
Seriously, if this is KL's equivalent city life where people are rushing, hustling and bustling then its the wrong kind, let it be the type where its pedestrians rushing about by walking on sidewalks or getting in and out public transport, rushing on the road is extremely dangerous and absolutely not the right kind of stress to have.
This whole thing about living in the city and needing a car to get everywhere because of a certain someone's obsession with cars and it leads to experiencing these things on the road, its borderline insufferable to live in this city.
Selfish, lack of civic mindedness and living as a conscious community.
It is very stress inducing, to drive here.
Just move aside if you see someone faster than you approaching from the rear.
