Tasting independence for the first time
He should be so proud! Bless him!
Brave little guy right there! Has to be hell watching your child struggle even a little bit let alone this
Stop with these nice comments, I can’t upvote them all ok
= One big leap for a kid
as a father, this makes me proud and sad at fkin same time.
And here I am mad when someone cuts me off while driving and this child is conquering the world… I hate myself sometimes for letting the stupid stuff get to me but find so much motivation in seeing what’s really important and meaningful in life. This kid is a rockstar
Bless him ! Definition of Independence thou
The concept of a patriotism themed strip club was strange at first but as the drinks kept flowing it became more appealing.
The taste of Freedom was temporary, but herpes is for life.
God bless him and his parents.
That's the most wholesome view I've ever seen!
His parents are such a good motivator. Love his braveness! Keep it up kid!
Blind kids are great at learning a human form of echo location. They teach it in Britain and america too. It’s a series of clicks and listening to the reflected sound. I know a boy who rides a bike blind like that - only in the park though.
God bless him 🙏
Well, so far, god didn’t blessed him a lot.
I mean you are not wrong. It would be a shitty God who would make a child disabled and then delight in receiving blessings for it.
Bless god for creating blind kids! /s
edit: god, not the kid. ew.
God bless us, every one!
He sure could have...
I swear if if I had another set of eyes…. I cannot bear the thought of kid living his entire life not seeing good things around.
"I can do it...."
So sweet, I didn't see that coming...
I did see that pun coming
Neither did he
Agreed! Also salute for his parents for being an example of a good parenting.
I love the “I can do it”
His parents have done a great job building his confidence!
We... we didnt (deep breath) WE DIDNT GET TO HEAR THE FUCKING YAY!!! DAMMIIIIIT
This should be on r/MadeMeSmile
Its been on there multiple times
As it sHOULD
He looks like he's gonna be a great lawyer.
If his name is Matthew, that would be so awesome
Yes. That would be amazing.
This kid is going places
Now that he can leave his block on his own, he sure is!
My mom is legally blind and could wake up blind everyday. Somehow seeing this kid learn how to work curbs makes me feel like my mom is going to be okay
This is so old he must be 26 right now
His name is Gavin and he is actually in 6th Grade right now.
I give blind folks so much credit. This world really isn’t accommodating to them that much. I couldn’t imagine being in the middle of nyc, blind, holding my stick
I'm not crying you're crying!!
Way to go dude! Amazing.
One small step for man….
More like one big step for small man.
The shit we take for granted…
I shit you not this video is one post above this one and it’s on r/mademesmile
Thumbs up little buddy great job
I'm not crying
Kids gonna be the next Daredevil
You could say this is a...
Learning curb for him
Made me smile so big!
I really sincerely hope this child has a blessed life.
Boom, right in the feels
It's sweet but how is it NFL?

He will make a great daredevil someday :)
Seems like this kid has great parents

Good thing I’m not a dad. I woulda tackled this little MF outta straight happiness. Lol
Aww bless him, well done little dude 👏🏻
God bless you kid
The yay! At the end...
He got a wonderful baby voice tho
What a cutie- good job 👏👏
It makes me want to cry but I think I’m a bit over sensitive these days
This video always makes me tear up
why would you cut that "Yay"
“You’re safe” 😭
That "I am so proud of you" really hit my feels as someone who never heard that sentence from my parents growing up
First steps toward a paralympic athlete!
How do you tell a kid that age his experience with the world is different from his parents'? Do you explain at all or just treat as if it's the same to everybody? I never thought about it up until now. Beautiful moment! Yes, little buddy, you CAN do it!
What a little boss.
Made me wonder though, when blind from birth how would one explain vision to a kid being the age in the video?
God bless the boy and these United States of America. ‘Merica!!!
You did it buddy you did it Bless his heart
Ve y sad that he has to deal with that hardship, but I'm happy to see that kind of support and him making that step
<3, go get em kiddo
Stay strong little man!
Wow, you got this, keep going
Must be hard for the parents, you want to go up and help him and make sure he doesn't fall but you know it's best that you don't.
Good start. Now he just needs some martial arts and we jave a daredevil in the making.
man blind people are the nicest and coolest people ever
I was wondering if a blind by birth person, ever feels like they are different?
Because according to me they might not even feel what they are missing.
So adorable. 😭
This video helped me with my depression this morning. Thanks kid. You can do it!
And that little boy grew up to be Matt Murdoch…
What am I feeling… there is… moisture
He’s too young 🙁
Man’s cut out the yay
i can do it with that voice crack makes it cuter
"I can do it" is definitely indicative of good parenting.
Lots of kids would say "I can't do it", "I need help" etc and require more reassurance, this kid has good confidence, especially considering how scary the situation is.
Baby Matt Murdock
Dare devil: The Beginning! 😎
Deadass this almost brought me to tears
TIL: I totally take for granted that I can step off a curb. That kid is amazing.
My heart breaks
In one of my college classes we had to spend two weeks each wearing a blindfold, in a wheelchair, on crutches, and wearing heavy duty hearing protection. It gave us a different perspective on how some people have to live their lives.
My heart ❤️
God bless that sweet child 🙏
My little dad heart just broke. Go buddy!
When does he start beating up bad guys while in a devil costume at night?
The love on moms voice when she says "good job, I'm so proud." warms my heart
*Dare devil origin*
You can do it😊
WHAT A BEAST LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Brave lil soldier.
I will pray for him to receive blessings and happiness.❤️
When he said " I WANT YOU" with cracked voice for help I don't know why but my heart just FUCKING MELTED❤️
It’s a shame this kid will never see how cool he looks!
Wtg little man 😎
This kid gotta be at least 80 by how old this fucken shit is
I mean your not wrong
Bionic eyes would help a lot. Let’s hope Elon Musk Neuralink will be a success.
If I was blind I'd sign up for euthanization...because I wouldn't be able to deal with the fact that I can't fucking see..I really feel for people who choose to live like this
You wouldn't know what it's like to see, so it wouldn't be as traumatic as you think it would be. It would be like offing yourself because you can't dunk a basketball.
There is absolutely no reason to say this. Because what you are essentially saying is all Blind people should kill themselves.
Us disabled individuals do not want your pity. It's incredibly demeaning and dehumanising if you think that someone's life should end just because of the way they experience the world differently.
I loathe to imagine your life if you are pitying everyone who is different than you.
Stop the videotaping and give this kid a hug ffs
