Month long goal oriented adventure ideas?

Sure, I grew up and live 1,400kms from the nearest ski resort, so my very first trip to the snow was 3 weeks and involved a few days of lessons, and then getting out there on my own trying to gain as much proficiency as possible, while taking rest days when I was wrecked.
I've also done a few long distance hikes and home and abroad, the last being 2 weeks hiking the Larapinta Trail.
Do one of the treks in Nepal, Annapurna or Everest Base Camp
Lots of longer hiking/walking trails in Europe.
Fair amount of longer trails in the US. You could a section of some of the more famous long trails such as the Appalachian, Pacific Crest, or Continental Divide Trails. For the PCT, I'd focus on the Sierra or Washington. You could do most of or all of the Colorado Trail or a big chunk of the Arizona Trail.
Lots of options.
Thru hike the Great Divide Trail (1130km total)
This is along a different line but recently I've been combining travel with taking language classes in other countries. I'm learning Spanish in peru right now. 4 hrs of classes M-F with plenty of time left to explore!
