May wanna meet minimum requirements first. That's why they list minimum, anything lower they won't guarantee works
Youre missing my point. The game is totally playable for me, but I just dont understand that my FPS doesnt move either up or down no matter what I do. And like come on, the graphics are nowhere near quality enough to warrant such performance. I like the cartoony simply graphics but I dont understand why they warrant such power.
You're looking at performance/FPS as if it was a slider directly correlating with "graphics" and hardware.
There's like half dozen of important parameters of your GPU alone and your FPS is being bottlenecked by one of them.
For example there are settings concerning textures which heavily rely on VRAM but not much else, if you don't have enough VRAM then you'll see decreased performance so changing texture resolution would help, otherwise it wouldn't do anything
Hmmm, I have a 1050TI. I think it has around 4GB of VRAM but I dont remember. I think the minimun stated was like 1070 so...
I understand its not a slider, believe me, Ive managed to get many games running that should not have run on my ol Laptop. Point is, if basic stuff like decreasing resolution doesnt do much, my hopes get crushed.
It isn't their fault if your laptop doesn't meet minimum specs, even if you don't feel like you should have to update for this game in particular.
Game optimization will naturally come as the game is in early access and has only been out a week. MMO's are never in their final form a week from launch and devs have even stated that things WILL change.
Right, thats good, I dont understand why people take my observings about the games performance like a personal attack. And what you said about MMOs, unfortunately, the performance becomes worse with new updates and content, not better in almost any of them.
It's been a week, why don't you just wait and see instead of acting like the sky is falling.
Bro, or maam, Im not acting like a anything. Im saying the game is playable even on a system like mine, but that the FPS literally doesnt change no matter what I do. And that being the case, its the optimization, not my rig. 300x200 resolution not yielding at least 60 FPS is the fault of the optimization, not my rig. That was the whole point.
The game is amazing, I love it, I play it, just want the devs and other people with weaker PCs to be aware of this. That is the whole post.
I have played Ark, Conan Exiles, Rust, a lot of games like this and have seen improvement over updates and those games have been out for years... not a week. All I'm saying is that you're upset about something and haven't even given them a chance to fix anything, the optimization WILL come. It may not be immediate as they are still working on bugs and other things that require a more immediate solution.
I am giving them more time. This whole post was to make them aware of it. (Hopefully)
Don't expect optimization on early access games. It is usually one of the last thing that gets done before the full release for a number a reasons
Youre right, but maybe if they added more graphical options so we could tweak the graphics a bit more and squeeze out more performance, that would be very nice.
It just came out, calm down.
